Who's online?
    #7549739 - 10/23/07 12:55 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

So is it kind of creepy to anybody else that we can look and see who's online here, and what they're doing? (Yes I know it can be disabled)

It reminds me of how our government can know exactly where any of us are at any time. Big brother watching out, you know?

People buy cell phones, OnStar, GPS, and all of these other innovative electronic devices, and it only makes it easier for the government to keep tabs!

The FBI can record conversations that are picked up from a cell phone's microphone, while the user isn't even on a call! A cell phone could record a conversation between two people in the same room, just by being within earshot! Only way around is to take out the battery, or not have the device near.

With so many businesses and other institutions having more advanced security, including CCTV and other video, what's to keep big brother from watching? Internet communications, save encrypted ones (but who really knows?), can be easily monitored. They can know what you're watching on TV. What you buy at the supermarket. Who you talk to. What you do. Who you are. You. They can have any and every single detail about you.

You are no longer you.
You are theirs.
They have you.

Wow that really turned into a paranoid rant quite quickly.

im here. i think those sorts of paranoias are largely unfounded. you honestly think you will be singled out amoung the millions and millions of conversations about pointless shit that is recorded (if it is even recorded, is this confirmed that the government is using the patriot act in this way or is it mere speculation)

Thats why I am up and cant sleep, the FBI is really listening in tonight. I thought I was the only one feeling that. I sometimes get government frequencies late at night. Certian radiowaves
that arent meant for the public. Always talk of reptilian/NWO shit that isnt even Davd Icke status, I actually think he gets it sometimes. I believe  him to be a shapeshifter as well as a matrix gate-keeper.

Consider how many people there are in the world using the internet and cell phones. If the government is able to pick up everything we say, do you know how many people it would take to keep tabs on each individual conversation? That's roughly one person for every two people. If private and intimate information were available so freely, people within the government would be at war with themselves and the system would (or will) crash the moment such effective tracing is actually put into effect.

Oh. I'm online.

I think it was the movie Enemy of the State that said this, so it may or may not be an exaggeration or complete fabrication, but apparently even as early as the 80' the government was developing the technology to recognize certain words in phone conversations etc.  Kinda scary to think what can be done now, like 20 years later.  All that shit we hear about the gov'ts capabilities is only leaked because they want it to be.  I think they are way farther ahead than what we think.
