Dogen zenji Quote

In part of my study, I came across this quote by Dogen zenji. It is from an essay in the Shobogenzo called "Shinjin Gakudo". I really enjoyed it, and thought I would share it with you all .
"Enter directly into the mud and water and find the pearl of mind in this muck. Finding it, melt it, crush it, grind this pearl to a fine dust."
The beauty of Zen literature is the many facets in which it can be viewed and interpreted. All views express the essence, and no view is The view. What does this quote mean to you?

It means "if you meet the Buddha on the road, don't kill him as that would be a crime, but do pass him by.;)
-------------------- "Don't believe everything you think". -Anom. " All that lives was born to die"-Anom. With much wisdom comes much sorrow, The more knowledge, the more grief. Ecclesiastes circa 350 BC

i get frustrated reading stuff like that cause he says this muck as if he can't make pretty statements about the earth without first ruining it and like we're supposed to know this muck what muck, fuck
i think buddhism will change a lot soon cause what was right thousands of years ago is still right, but in a different context they're just twisting knots these days renounce everything

Let it be. Do not resist what is. Sink deeper and find the essence of your mind without pushing or pulling, without rejection nor clinging. Let the center of self you seem to find melt away and melt again to dissolve your sense of self. All that was, is. You were never.
