You Decide: Viewers Say Who Won Tuesday Night's GOP Presidential Debate Wednesday, May 16, 2007
E-MAIL STORY RESPOND TO EDITOR PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION FOX News asked you to tell us who you thought won Tuesday night's First-in-the-South Republican Presidential Candidates Primary Debate. With more than 40,000 votes submitted via text message, 29 percent said former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney made the best showing of all 10 GOP presidential hopefuls who made their cases to the American people at the University of South Carolina's Koger Center for the Arts in Columbia, S.C.
Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who ignited controversy at the debate with remarks that U.S. policy had invited the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, came in second with 25 percent. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who strongly admonished Paul for his comments, came in third place with 19 percent. Arizona Sen. John McCain, who is the frontrunner in South Carolina polls, came in sixth with 5 percent.
GOP Debate Text-Vote Results

I guess Ron Paul supporters are fanatics......otherwise why not the overvoting from other candidates supporters????
Not trying to make this out as a gain for RP, but I guess it shows some sort of base for him..............
(edit......Watched the whole debate......anyone notice how many times Fred Thompson touches his ear during a response? Seems like a Nervous reaction (lie)...... based on what I have learned in my interrogation techniques I gained in the military)

Did you happen to notice the date on that poll?
Its from last May. We are almost into November now.
There have been several, and much more recent ones to pull from.
Mitt hasn't won an on line debate poll since.

As much as I want to believe those results.. I never really believe any internet polls.. they're just loaded... as in they're linked to by a certain representative crowd and often that one crowd is the only one that gets shown in the poll

Paul has won every MSM post debate text message poll since that one. Because he has, and because he is doing much lower in the gallup polls people decided not to give the text message post debate polls any credit.
They say crap like, Paul supporters are spamming the polls. Not sure what that is suppose to mean.
You hear all this crap about Straw polls being a test to see, which campaign has itself organized and active for a win, and then when Paul's supporters demonstrate their ability to organize , take action and win straw polls, they somehow played unfair?
These networks set up their own polls. They set them up where you can only vote once from a cell phone via a text message.
It use to be that Fox made a huge production over who won their post debate polls.
Since Paul has been winning them, Hannity said the other night, "Oh, those are just for fun."
Watch this. It's the post debate interview with Paul, hannity and colmes-
When he was winning the CNBC debate text message poll a few weeks back by up to 80%, CNBC took the results off of their web-site.

why is a stroy from last may posted now?? so what?
but yeah, when you consider that most people don't vote for the real elections, you obviously get a skewed perspective on online "fake" polls. I'm sure those that care enough to read about stories this far ahead of the election are more likely to either have an axe to grind and/or be more informed than most: i.e. more likely to choose a non-frontrunner (not saying these folks are smarter, just that they're more aware of the diversity of candidates, and the differences among all of them.)

This is deceitful. The results they showed on tv were 34% for Paul. How can they pull up these other results and attach them like they have something to do with last tuesdays text poll.
