pins to mature a few days 2-7 depending on the weather.
Azure will grow in the bay.

I dumped about 10 paper grocery bags full of fresh eucalyptus chips on a patch that had been particularly devastated by picking and transplanting.
Even though I was pissed off about the patch being totally destroyed since it was most probably going to continue fruiting for a while longer, i smirked when i noticed that the stinkhorn, Clathrus ruber mycelium that was right next to the Friscosa patch, was also torn out. Just to be sure, i picked up a huge chunk of wood totally engulfed with rhizomorphs, and smelled it- just like a Clathrus ruber egg!
I bet they're gonna have a great time picking Friscosas among stinkhorns in their patch next year!!

Yea One of my okay producing spots got Raked up by the stupid Gardener and the Mycelium was all over the place. So I Gathered most of the chips and moved them to a better spot away from gardeners. Those stinkhorns are a real Stinker arent they, Theirs one by one of my Cyan Patches its been there all season.

The mycelium doesn't stink. It just smells like an immature Clathrus ruber egg. They don't smell bad until they erupt.

I figured today I would see the last cyans of the season at the grass patch but there were two pins.
This little patch has never had a huge flush, but it's been fruiting steadily for two months. The specimens are always nice and healthy too.

Alan, I had to edit out the first two photos because the background was to obvious. If you want, you can blur or black out the background and repost those two. Sorry.

Very interesting. Dried up old cyans into friscosas. Hmmmm...
I went out today on the bike for about 2 hours. I only found cyans in one spot, but there were still quite a few pins popping there. Of course I forgot my camera so I began experimenting with my phone set to "macro" and came up with this one decent picture:
Not too shabby for a phone.
This is all I came up with, but it was a beautiful day and I had a nice ride
