Because you have an upload limit (everyone does, except maybe the admins). It will be refreshed tomorrow, and you will be able to upload more.

The decision was up in the air for awhile, stay or go. Stay here in the USA or head on back down under to Sydney. The votes are in and we are off to the land of kangaroos and warm sunny beaches. So as much as I wanted to find some cyans over the holidays here in the bay area it was not to be. But this is my first crack at mushroom hunting and in the last few weeks I have learned a whole lot and started a new interest I will take with me. On Sunday I went out for what was to be my last chance at a hunt here,
I was again fooled for a moment when I walked upon a patch of these at a local place of higher learning. Soon I realized I have no idea what it is, it had a dark pink rusty spore print. The amazing thing was the slime on these things, that drop isn't water, it is slime!

A pink ear fungus, couldn't identfy this either,

And this was the strangest, these little yellow beads that were colonizing around the leaves

It was a slimy day and we found a bunch of slippery jacks, I learned the white things with green slime on top I found buried beneath the pine duff were just young Slippery Jacks when I looked in the pic in the book. The have little beads of white milk on the developing pores that at first made me think they were Lactarius. We passed up the chance to investigate any number of rotting, infested blobs that at one point must have been proud looking mushies.
I found these two old Pluteus cervinus' hanging around. The one I took gave a beautiful strong pink spore print.

This fella suprised me, it seemed to be growing around the bits of ivy it was in but it was also mushroom shaped.

A ha! Look what is inside, I believe it is a Hypomyces chrysospermus colonizing some sort of Boletus. It smelled like a nice fresh chunk of Brie cheese.

I stopped to take some pics of these tiny little ones, some sort of Mycena? purpureofusca? They smell pretty strong, not like your regular mushroom smell.

That was supposed to be then end but I did run out again today and picked up a couple Clitocybe nudas, which is propably the most exciting find I have had so far!
Tomorrow I get on a plane and next week I will be in northern NSW looking for Psilocybe cubensis. And in Sydney the winter season is coming!
Thanks to eveyone who has given me help. If my guesses are wrong above I would love your feedback. See you later!

Yeah, did you try peeling off the seperable gelatinous pellicle?? It looks like Pholiota velaglutinosa, which has brown spores.

Exactly right on your ID! It is indeed a species of Bolete parasitized by H. chrysospermus. Nice work.

so i went to the city yesterday. checked a few spots and the first two just had pins the weekend warriors got there before me.
then we went to a secret spot ive been picking at for 3 years, and it wasnt a secret anymore this older hippy was picking there when we got there, so we said hi and joined him
then 10 minutes later another dude showed up, all three of us thought we were the only ones that knew about that spot
so i found a few more and bounced so as not to have a party at that spot.
Kinda dissappointing but hey its GGP

so i met auweia today. Awesome guy all the way.
we had thought that we were picking in the same spot for a while and finally after finding a way we can see if it is the same spot without giving the location up to the other person if it turns out it wasnt, we confirmed it was and decided to meet up and check it out.
we chatted for a good few and each picked our spots(the spot is so big that we were picking in completly different areas.) So to split it he picks the area he found and i pick the one i found.
we chatted for a few more and auweia took off to do some solo hunting.
I picked for a few more and then left, heres what i got. i found some smaller surrounding patches that i missed.

then about and hour before sundown me and laska went to check on last patch, and surprise! an new area fruited there!

after those we had about 10 minutes of light left and i checked the landscaping in the general area and found these....

biggest fucking cyans ive ever seen.

and the total haul for today

time for
