Hey guys!
I should say, I'm new to this, I don't know what fry your balls off really means. I love mycology, study it for myco-restoration (Mycelium Running), chioce edibles (Chicken of the woods and oyster so far).
I've only taken a 1.9 grams of mushrooms (psychedelic) so far after the my friend suggested that I clean out my closet (Brain) once a year on my birthday.
So I really neeed your help, on what this finds mean, what it is, etc. Is it a new species? This is my first find for a mind altering fungi. My 5th serious find (Edibles plus this one).
Can so one please take the time to explain to me what I have, etc. What it means? links, discussions.
I'm interested in mind altering mushrooms after my experience with the 1.9 grams. Thanks in advance for the love, wisdom, and assistance. I'm a little nervous guys! Sorry for being a wuss! If you're in the area, I will share, I'm gonna run this stuff on cardboard today, once I get a positive id.

those are probably "Psilocybe Cyanescens" or a variation thereof.
theres a new mushroom in town these days, its sweeping the woodchips like mad, and it resembles Cyanescens in many ways. many claim it LOOKS like "Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa", but many experts disagree.
if your interested in reading about it, search these forums for "friscosa" and "cyanofriscosa"
they are nicknames people here have coined them.
they are equal in potency to psilocybe cyanescens, so when someone says have fun frying your balls off, they mean you have a lot of potency there and to have fun.
5 or 6 large fresh mushrooms or 8 or 9 dried specimens would be enough for you to go so far into the depths of space that you JUST MIGHT forget what reality was like to begin with. these are some VERY potent mushrooms.
if you dabbled with psilocybe cubensis in the past, your in for a VERY, VERY, VERY, special treat. these are more spiritual, colorful, and mind-bending than pretty much any other mushroom out there.
be careful, be safe, and have fun exploring what human conciousness is really all about.

i know of a patch with the same situtation. They redid the landscaping and put bark over everything. The cyans are still coming up though

beauty bark is just bark, any type. It could be any of the many puzzle barks, jeffery, pionderosa pine, fir. But its bark. The trees are rolled and stripped of bark at the mill. There might be some but vey little wood product in it. Beauty bark is a landscaping term not designation. If you went to a nursery and asked for beauty bark they would say that they had many to choose from.
Gorilla hair is redwood/cedar. it has the fiberous bark and it repels insects.
This new playground mulch/ dyed fake shit that we are seeing is fir!! Left over shit from the saw mill that either gets sent to the landscape companies or to the plywood factories. Sometimes you will see short cut ends of 2x4's in it. i love it!!!

Gorilla hair is redwood/cedar. < once had a good patch in shredded redwood gorilla hair...only problem, it was under a juniper bush, and they don't like juniper that well
update on the Presidio Trust, and no they didn't save the big patch, but look who got involved with the recent oil spill
http://www.matteroftrust.org/programs/hairsfmushpix.html
oysters like pretty much the same thing as cyans too
