Well, don't expect them to go back home with you if they go on display...

You know what'd be fucked up...

If someone put a "Please do not remove" sign next to the Psilocybe on display, and then put a few Galerina marginata amongst the Psilocybe.....

Who'd be at fault??
Kinda of funny, sort of. I guess both people would be to blame.

I don't think so with the 'azure' part

[originally thought to be P. Azurescens, but it is NOT

Instead, it is , as yet, an unidentified species, originally from Japan, but that doesn't match either (on full maturity, the Japanese species gets wavy around the edges....This one doesn't...Plus, the slight annulus (ring) is present around the stem throughout

I wish I Peter could have seen this, but now he may never see it. Two years ago I told Peter where this was and left about 10 specimens out there so he could get them, and he drove all the way out there and it it was all gone because Tahoe had come by the day before and picked it clean

so now I'm an unreliable source because of something somebody else did. Now it's possible we may never know what this species is because two years later, it's still gone

Naw, no one took mine last year.  But the ones that were on display were not there for very long.:nonono:

Oh, are those Ps. subaeruginascens?  My friend has a large patch of them.  Did the ones you found have wavy gills?
I think WayLitJim also found some.

welcome to the brand new edition to the San Francisco Bay Trail >> THE bike path that circles the bay

this part is NOT on any map yet, and is still under development. It is All woodchips and transplants have already been done. It is is part of a larger effort to make a bike path circling the bay

Sooo, are you saying that the bike trail is new, or that this picture is taken of a section of the bike trail that is new?

Probably somewhere along the hundreds of miles of "proposed trail segment" in the pdf documents.

sorry, I made the wrong photo. The previous one is on the map, but this one isn't. Meet the newest section of the SF Bay Trail

this part wasn't there last year, and the Bay Trail org is still working on setting plants alongside the path. Off to the right side, there's alot of plants still in planter boxes. It's all woodchips on both sides, a finely grounded type woodchip too

Does your friend have any photos? These are the same as Waylitjims finds. We both sent samples to Workman and he confirmed it's the same. Workman says it's subaeruginascens, but I'm not convinced only because the few photos don;t seem to match

the ones I found don't get wavy like cyans do and this photo. Couldn't get a fresh specimen to Peter because it was raped before he got there. The spot no longer exists now

These pictures represent three days growth.  I've watered the last two times I've visited this location, but it still seems pretty dry.  :frown:

How can you tell when a fruit has reached maturity?

The largest fruit to the left in the top photo, and both fruits in the second photo are mature.

Sometimes they will get bigger, and upturned, but usually only when they get a lot of moisture.  If the stipe turns blue when they are at about the age of the ones above, they tend to stop growing.
