their is a fault line that runs near cali, its been said that your LONG overdue for a major quake, its also said eventually cali will seperate and most likely sink to the bottom of the ocean, which makes sense considering you prob have the highest population per land mass in the country, add together all the racial confrontation which emits vibration and it would appear you are all doomed.
also i wouldn't be surprized if a volcano formed smack in the middle and the devil walked out chanting its 2012 your calanders were wrong you marked the death of the false son of jesus!!

I had to go to Riverside for work this morning. I live in OB (near Downtown San Diego). I left my house at 4:15am and headed North up the I-15 freeway. Just as I got to Rancho Bernardo they shut down the freeway because the fire was jumping across the freeway and moving West. I figured I'd get off the freeway and go around. I got on a side street and started North again. Suddenly the smoke and ash got extremely thick, so much that my eyes started burning. I realized everyone on the road was going the opposite direction from me. Suddenly, the smoke around me started to glow orange and almost immediately I saw huge flames jumping up. There were houses burning on both sides of the road! I had driven right into the fire zone!!
I fliped a bitch and got the fuck outta there! It ended up taking me 3 1/2 hours to get to Riverside. It normally takes me 1 1/2. And it wasn't much better coming home this afternoon.
Even clear down here at the beach all the cars are covered with a layer of ash. And the fires are many, many miles from here.

My wifes aunt and uncle live in Saugus, right off Boquet Canyon (Santa Clarita area). They have fires on all sides of them. And the back of their house faces a mountain. They've been packed and waiting to run for days, but they're still OK.

A good friend of mine lives in Southern Cali...but she's on a trip for Florida this week so that's a relief. She's worried about what could happen to where she lives and all her family/friends though.
I'm grateful to live in Michigan at the moment.

THe weather here is so strange
The ashy skies are blocking the sun which somehow makes an orange light shine upon everything

Yeah, people don't understand how strange the colors get when you have smoke (rather than regular cloud cover) blocking out the sun. Heres pics I took on my way home from work today to illustrate. All the pics below are unaltered and show the natural colors that I was seeing as I was taking them.
Headed back toward San Diego county. There are no storm clouds in this picture, only smoke plumes from fires.

Once you drive into the smoke everything gets eerie. Your eyes begin to burn a bit and the odor is almost overpowering. Depending on the density and the quality of the smoke overhead the lighting changes dramatically. At times the sun was a brilliant orange ball, other times it was a dull red (last pic) or disappeared completely.

I thought the sky was pretty too... I was riding in my friends car last night just having a moment with the sky. The way the redness of the horizon faded into the black sky was just awesome.

I can see flecks of ash are starting to land on things here. The air is probably going to get pretty nasty before too long. Shit, I hope I don't have to be working outside this week... might cough up a lung

But my work yard is in Escondido so I drive up there every day to start work. I'm in-n-out of San Marcos all the time.

I'm near Glendora, so this is all pretty familiar to me. The Glendora hills went up in flames a couple years ago, everything was under a blanket of ash for a few days.
This is really insane, though... a dotted line of fires stretching from inside of mexico to up north of Ventura/Oxnard.

this year bad fires...next will be floods after that will be an earthquake...
the never ending cycle of living in so cal
"pays the price to live in paradise"
had to call my parents to make sure they're ok...thankfully the winds changed directions and the fire which they were near to is now contained
2 years ago they were evacuated, when i was 10 we were evacuated...but luckily nothings happened to the house i grew up in (we just got seriously raped during the 7.2 earthquake in the 90s)
