alright i tried to grow a few rimes last year but i was still in high school...living at home and got busted never got to the fruting stage..now i have my own place and decided to try again, i bought some mazatapec syringes and a kit fom mush box it has 2 containers, therm., hepa type filter, heater, and 12 pre sterilized jars, now im wondering when it gets here, i thought the way i did last timke was shoot up the jars, incubate at about 80-86 F, until full colonization, now i never got passed this step before, so how do i go through the birthing/fruiting stage? also whats the hepa type filter whats this do, how does it help, and after i shoot up the jars do i put tape over the holes or just leave them open? thats about all the questions i can think of now..thanks for any help man

Cover the holes, by doing this you will have less risk for contamination. As far as how to birth them, you would have to be more specific on what method you are planning to use, be it cakes or bulk substrate by inoc. some type of grain.

Dont incubate much above 80, high temperatures are not good for cubensis mycelium. I think it's agreed anywhere between 75 and ~82 is ok though

Colonize at room temp. Ditch the incubator. Get yourself a good flourescent light and a shotgun terrarium with 4-5 inches of perlite. You dont need the hepa filter or the heater. 70-75 degrees is great for colonizing and fruiting. Are you birthing cakes or casings? Use the search function for birthing cakes or casings. Ample info available? Good Luck.

Just curious, how did you get busted and by who? Just being nosy.:peace:
