Coco mix (Canna,biobizz,etc)?
    #7543747 - 10/21/07 05:41 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

I've been searching the internet looking for pictures of what this soil mix looks like but the only thing I get is pictures of the bag.

Does anyone know if this is the same kind of coir as in bricks or something different. Anyone maybe tried it?

Thanks!

Coco Coir does come in bricks, typically sold at an animal store in the reptile bedding section. I use this method primarily. I will hydrate some coir and some compressed wheat straw mix them together and use them as a substrate and my casing layer, and it has been very successful for me.

I know that..... I'm just asking if:

Coco Coir = Coco mix (typically used in cannabis hydroponic culutre)

No it is not the same. Coco mix is just little flakes, not the coconut fibres you are looking for. It will be in brick form.
