Update on strange Pins

I found hundreds of strange pins growing on well shaded woodchips the other day. They were very peculiar looking. I tried taking some inoculated woodchips home but (not to my surprise) the pins simply rotted. Well...I went back yesterday and those things GREW...FAST. Ive been trying very hard to find an ID on these guys but they dont seem to be in any book, nor have I been able to ID them by using mushroomexpert.com. Lets see if anyone from el shroomery can pull this one off.
Habitat: Shaded, decaying woodchips. (i think the shade is crucial, as they did not grow in any areas that were exposed to the sun). Found 3 days after heavy rain. Temps ranging between 50-75 degrees since initial find.
Cap: severly knobbed in center...caps seriously look like female nipples. Texture is smooth with dimples. Cap color ranges from purple/green margins to tan/brown center. Largest caps roughly 3 inches across. Flesh thick and pliable.
Gills: Gills cream/tan colored. Attached. Crowded. White "fluffy" substance present on the gills of many specimens but not all. I Initially thought the spore print would be white but...
Spore Print: Ochre/Brown
Stem: largest roughly 5 inches tall. Roughly 1/2 inch wide. Thick and pliable. very fibrous, colored as cap. Only visible bruising= dark brown. no veil present.
Other: Odor remided me of raw chestnuts. Pins started with green caps, Mycelium was so heavily dispersed that the substrate was completely white in some areas. [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] Notice how green the caps of the pins were...Also, you can see the color of the spore print behind the gill shot and bruising shot.
Any replies will be very appreciated!

Wait till they're a bit larger and get a spore print. Even if you're not really invested in an ID at least put some details in to make is worth reading.

tentatively, i want to suggest Cortinarius decipiens.
Just to put it on the right track. forget the lepista suggestion. it wasn't even close. I was just looking at thedudenjs post and didn't realize it was separate. oopsie

that white stuuf in the gill look like a spider web or something like that , it might be a cortinarius. all pon in that direction maybe subpurpuratus does not look like the pupuratus,

they sure are growing healthy tho. That first pic demonstrates peak growth. they may change appearance significantly into the declining stages

I think I am going to have to go back in a few days and check them out again. Im almost positive I saw some specimens that were already on their way to mushroom heaven, and those looked the same as the ones in the picture. I must note that the pictures added much more lavender color than the amount I observed in person. Also, the pins were flat out green capped, and they all had that distinct errrr...penis shape, even when they were less than 1/4 inch in size.
Im going to go back and change one thing. After re-observing a now dry print. I am going to say spores are flat out brown.
I appreciate all of the replies. It will be very cool to get this one an ID, as Ive never found anything quite like it. As of now i think the closest guess is C.decipiens but in comparing the ones that I found at their current stage, to any images of Cortinarius decipiens that ive been able to find, there are a few major differences. 1. The caps of decipiens seem more fibrous than these specimens do. 2. the nipples on decipiens seem much smaller 3. Decipiens seem more brown in overall color.
Of course all of these characteristics might match up next time i check them...unfortunately i can find almost no info (in english) on c.decipiens.
