Peyton Manning is a better quarter back, no matter what numbers Tom Brady puts up... he is inconsistent season by season.
I pick the colts... but is a tough call.

When has Tom Brady ever been inconsistent?

anyone could be a great QB with Moss as a receiver.
just throw it as far as you can and moss catches it.
on a side note, Brees is the QB of the week.

The various Raiders qbs weren't.
Brady's also spreading the ball to Welker and Stallworth. Granted they're probably free a bit more, with the defense having to take Moss into consideration.

He is totally unflappable. Blitzing doesn't matter at all unless you get him on his back before he gets the ball off, because he will never so much as bat an eyelash at an all-out blitz.
Manning has thrown some nasty long-balls this season, though. He had two or three yesterday where the placement was so good it was just unfair for the corner.

I said season to season. He usually doesnt go 6-0. The Pats lose a lot of games each year because of brady. This year is different because Brady can make bad throws (which he does) but rather than dropping it Moss brings it in or wrestles it out of a defenders hand. Brady is NOT rock solid.
But I will say that Brady is definately the best quarterback to play in any big game. He has a harder time losing in the playoffs than he does in the regular season.

Well, it's still kind of foolish to say outright that Manning's better than Brady.
Manning's always had the better recievers. He's had Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne.
Whose Brady had before this year? Fucking Deion Branch

You've got to be out of your fucking mind to think he's not solid.

Is this simply based on your personal perception or do you have some detailed statistical analysis to back up your assessment that the Pats are better than the Colts? Both teams have top ten rated offense and defense. The Colts have played a tougher schedule. At best it's a wash all the way around.
Or are you one of these twats who gets a boner anytime he sees a football team running the spread offense with success? Let me guess, you love Texas Tech, Purdue and Northwestern a ton. They run a college offense for christsakes.

While I'm feeling a little OTD'ed by Paulie here in the Sports forum, as much as the destruction that the Pats have put on top of their opponents so far, the Colts have a very real chance in this game. Very real.
What's the line?? And the Colts are at home yes??

colts win. pats meet their match with a quality opponent. peyton > brady. brady = overrated. his team and coaching have carried his ass, he has absurd pass protection and outstanding receivers hence why hes putting up crazy numbers. manning can do it without that. brady has more rings, but put brady on the colts and he doesnt do nearly as well as manning does. manning is a much better deep threat qb, he can hit a home run falling back running from defenders. if you don't believe me, go back and watch the pats and colts game last season. manning flushed out the the pocket is falling back due to a huge lineman and rockets a 50yd bomb right on the money. it was a fucking laser pass, brady couldnt do that, thats all im saying.

It sounds like you dont watch football if you are defending Brady. Watch every game this season, he under throws virtually every pass of 20+ yards. If he wasnt throwing to guys that could catch (or in the direction of shitty secondaries) he would not have the amount of completions. Go back to the Miami game, you cant tell me those passes to moss in the endzone were good. Thats why they were incredible catches... the throws fucking sucked. Put Champ Bailey or Dre Bly in that same coverage and those passes are all picked off. But... the pats havent really beaten any good teams other than the Chargers.

yeah and the pats did a bunch of fakes when they played the skins sunday, the one that really pissed me off was the fake spike that they got a touch down off of,
and i dont see how anyone can be a fan of such a pretty boy-super model dating-faggot-likes to take it up the ass- guy like brady,
i think thats either lip stick or masscara that he wears at games on his cheeks,
i would love to see how shit brady would be if you put him with a worthless team like.. o maybe.. the 'FIns
peace out Dm

Personal perception. Statistics cannot show who is the better team. Next week will give us a better litmus test. Indy is at home; we'll see what they can do. By the end of the season it will be clear, one way or the other.

I hate college offense. I like conservative, defense-based teams. The Pats just happen to have an incredible offense this year.

He had a few poor throws last game. Most quarterbacks have more than a few. When you have a receiver like Moss, you can get away with throws you might not make to anyone else. The bottom line is that he is consistently successful at the QB position, which is incredibly rare.
BTW Champ Bailey and Dre Bly both got owned last night for a touchdown each.

i find it absolutely HILARIOUS how people are trying to criticize Brady's QBing.
"He throws bad passes"
"Without Moss he's a shitty QB"
wow, 3 SuperBowls, HOW many passing TD's has he had?
Look, i'm a steelers fan, so i've hated Brady for a VERY long time.
But I'm not stupid enough to be unable to recognize an extraordinary talent.
He's had 30 TD's and 2 INT's this season, so far.
Unlike Dm, whose just bitter that his team got absolutely demoralized, I dont let my fan loyalties blind me from recognizing the Montana of our time.
