although it should be mentioned
that the pats have been playing some weak competition in the jets, browns, dolphins, heavily overrated cowboys...

Manning always has teams with an absolutely stacked offense.
This is the first year that Brady has a decent offense, and his numbers are blowing Manning AWAY.
I think he has 5 more touchdowns this year so far than Manning had in his record setting year?
If he doesn't break the touchdown record, I'll be shocked...
stacked in terms of stats, however you could argue the only reason those around him were that good, is that he was on the team. look at james, posting up 1800+ yard seasons with the colts, post-manning he hasnt done shit. he is doing alright this year but nowhere near the numbers he'd put up with the colts. same thing with harrison and wayne, how do you know they would be pro-bowlers had it not been for manning. also consider peyton manning calls his own plays. only a few qbs have ever been able to do that. nothing against brady he is ridiculously good, i just think that if he was on another team he wouldn't have been as successful as he is. although you might be able to argue the same thing about manning idk. either way by that i mean the pats have had a strong d for a while and the colts have just started to win with theirs. also he has belicheck which i give slight advantage over dungy ->more rings

James never made 1800 yards. He broke 1500 a couple times with the Colts. Any player on a good team will play better than they would on a weak team, obviously. James went from a team with a great O-line to a team with a weak O-line, and he's currently the third leading rusher in the league, on pace for 1300-1400 yards.
Brady and Manning are both fantastic, and we get to see them at their best because they are both on great offenses right now. I don't know who's the better quarterback, but the Pats are the better team.
Not sure what my point was there ...

edge was a monster no doubt
but it is funny how players don't do nearly as well once they change teams.
Or how players do much better once they join a better team.
If edge went to a team with a better OL, and a decent passing game, say Dallas...
he'd probably produce the same, but who knows. It's really impossible to predict those kinds of things unless the circumstances are extreme.
Imagine what Barry Sanders could've done behind Dallas' O-line of the 90's...

I remember that one year, they showed what Emmit would have gained if he had just been tackled at the point where he was first touched and it was around 850 yards. So yeah, dude ran for 1300 or whatever, but HE gained maybe 550 of it.
Emmit would have been out of the league in 5 years of he had Walter Payton's line during his first 5 year, and Walter would have gone for 2000 a year with the 90's Dallas teams.
Ifs and buts.

i'll give you guys SOME credit.
Redskins defense is probably the strongest secondary Brady has faced this season.
It will be an interesting matchup on that side of the ball.
Jason Cambell against Patriot's defense with the return of Richard Seymoor....ehhhh not so much.

yeah if the skins offense played as well as are deffense i don't think we would have lost yet,
i think the pats are probly over looking the redskins, and looking to there game next week against the colts, i think they will come into the game cocky as hell, and i think that cocky'ness will surve them up there first loss
and remember if i talk shit about a team, i am insulting them not you or any other fan (not directed at anybody really)
peace out Dm

That's pretty stupid to say. The Patriots are well known for focusing on the task at hand. I don't think that they are overlooking anything.

They're probably better at focusing than anyone, if their record says anything about it.

idk man i think the skins are going to get rolled. they haven't really played any tough opponents yet. in general i think the teams with good records in the nfc are highly overrated. i mean look at who they played, they could barely beat the dolphins, given this was the first game of the season, but that is possibly one of the worst teams ever and are prob going to go 0-16. either way the real super bowl is going to be when the pats and colts matchup in the afc championship game, right now those two teams are in a class by themselves.

i just dont like the pats, they seem cocky and overrated (by that i mean everyone talks about them and how great they are, not over rated as in they suck but everyone thinks there good) i mean what is there record now 5 and 0? or 6 and 0? well either way they could still go 5 and 11 or 6 and 10, its not over till its over,
i have a strong feeling that one of the skins linebackers is gonna injure brady or one of the other star players on there team, and ruin there season
peace out Dm

Supposedly it's because the Patriots can't run. How would we know? Why does a team need to run? Still, it's VERY cool to have a game that EVERYONE will be watching and have a vested interest in. You know they both want this bad. It has a playoff type feel to it.
