ACTIVE POST, WILL THIS KILL ME!

hello all, I posted earlier about identifying a specimen in my yard. I think after alot of reading that it is muscaria v. formosa. I have read some bad reports and some good ones. I am thinking of ingesting this mushroom after heating it and drying it to turn the acid. My main concern of course is that I still do not have a definitive answer to exactly what I have here. They are growing in my front yard, I have 4 pine/evergreen and one pupal deciduous. The caps do not have the deep reads that Amanita Muscaria have. They are yellow to orange, white spots on every one I saw.. in sun or out, so bleaching is not an issue. The main patch that I am looking at is across the street from my garden. I have 8 different types of mushrooms growing in my yard, in a major metropolitan city. Its absolutely fabulous. Ok... so I have gave you some info, heres some pics.
I PLAN ON EATING THESE....
I know that this certain mushroom can be toxic, I will be very careful. From what I have read the toxins can be eliminated if not seriously reduced. Even though I am 90% sure this mushroom will not KILL ME! It is not good enough.
Besides getting sick WILL THIS KILL ME? Are there any other aminitas that are HIGHLY toxic that resemble this specimen?

I have read every single piece of information about this mushroom I can find. Although, my question remains... muscaria v. formosa yes or maybe?

These seem to be present in the eastern parts of the states but they still do not contain deadly toxins... thank you for posting, but I still am sticking with muscaria v. formosa. I look foward to trying these.

Is there any question that this is muscaria... and can any of the variations be deadly toxic?

If fortytwo is right and that's what you have, it could very well could kill you. You should not plan on eating wild mushrooms until you can get a 100% positive identification. And even then I wouldn't really recommend amanitas.
Why are you kids so damn eager to poison yourselves?? I just don't get it.

I don't get it either, when it's so simple to get the blowjobs and the rainbows in the same room

nota, you make it sound like its a task too be stupid.
asfar as dosing fly agaric's go, the concentrations of the toxin's involved vary alot from population too population, and if you're so compelled to do them. Start very small and nibble on the fuzzy skin around the stem, and just do a lil and stop do alil and stop wait 15 minutes, the effects onset is very quick. The time's I've done them I've done just a very small amount and waited then continued the effects dont last long, but if you start to feel your stomach cramp up I would stop immediatly muscarine poisoning is nothing fun.
Be safe, and wear a condumb.

Your Amantita's look very similar to ours, however yours seem to lack the few that are picture-perfect red. This makes me very weary of these.

in my copy of stamet's mushrooms demystified color picture #58 has the caption "the yellow-capped variey of Amanita muscaria". the caption refers readers to page 282 which is the Amanita muscaria page. it says there is a "yellow-warted variety" of Amanita muscaria common from fall to spring in coastal pine forests.
maybe consider finding that book and checking it out if you can.
