lighting my martha

I just purchased a greenhouse and and looking into which lighting to put into it. I am keeping it in my closet, so lighting is necessary, otherwise I wouldn't need it. I am thinking of placing either one of these above every shelf... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300161980672&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=020
or two of these every shelf... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180171529387&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008
I also want to see if anyone has any advice for how to mount the second option. I don't like the idea of mixing the high humidity and electricity, but maybe if I covered it with saran wrap or something?
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

neither.Get in the blue spectrum not blue light. You can easily get a grow light in the blue spectrum for less than 20 bucks at home depot if you are in the states.

The Kelvin scale refers to the color temperature of the light. Briefly stated, if you took a piece of white paper and looked at it under 2,000K such as you'd get from hps, it would look yellow. If you looked at it under 5,000K fluorescent tubes such as you'd find in an office or school classroom, it will look white. If you look at it under 7,500K fluorescent, it would have a blue tint to it. That's what is meant by 'blue' light. You can pick up an inexpensive fluorescent fixture and 7500K fluorescent tubes fairly cheaply at your local hardward store. RR
taken from rr so i dont have to type it all lol.

ok, I can try those, but how should I cover my fixtures inside the martha so the humidity doesn't get to them. Any ideas?

Definetly a bad idea if you are planning to run a/c current to an outlet. The Martha is clear, so what's the problem with simply placing a 2ft tube or spiral cfl (with cheap circular reflector like Wal Mart sells) just about the top. Mushrooms need very little light to fruit, just enough to tell them it's time.

There have been several threads recently on lighting. I can't bear the thought of typing all that over again. Read back a few days of posts for what you need to know or use the search function please. This has been covered in detail. In addition, you don't put lights in the fruiting chamber. They go on the outside away from the moisture. RR

This is how people get their grows screwed up. Don't spread information that was discredited many years ago. Light doesn't even tell the mycelium when to fruit. That's what full colonization, the corresponding drop in CO2 levels, and the introduction of fresh air does. Lighting is a secondary pinning trigger, but needs to be very bright high frequency light for best results. RR

In my martha setup I have a power strip zip tied to the under side of each shelf. I duct taped all the outlets i wasnt going to use and in on of the outlets i put pone of the light bulb plugs in and put a 7 watt cfm. Humidity hasn't messed with it at all, and I have been doing it for a long while.
