How to get your medicinal maijuana card in AK

What would be the best thing to tell a doctor to get your medicinal marijuana card in Alaska?
Things they give them out for is chronic pain, cancer, HIV, etc. I would think that complaining of some type of chronic pain would be good, but what specifically?

You are asking us to help you scam a doctor?

drugs are illegal...some should be, some should not. Pot should be legal! You obviously use drugs or you wouldn't be part of this forum. To say that scamming a doctor is worse than breaking federal laws is ludicrous. Its not like I'm trying to get a license to use heroin.
I mean, seriously, why shouldn't I scam a doctor to protect myself from being busted? How can they prove I do not in fact have chronic pain? Pill pushers scam doctors for drugs that are much worse and more addicting that harmless ol' weed.

Alaska
SUMMARY: Fifty-eight percent of voters approved Ballot Measure #8 on November 3, 1998. The law took effect on March 4, 1999. It removes state-level criminal penalties on the use, possession and cultivation of marijuana by patients who possess written documentation from their physician advising that they "might benefit from the medical use of marijuana." Patients diagnosed with the following illnesses are afforded legal protection under this act: cachexia; cancer; chronic pain; epilepsy and other disorders characterized by seizures; glaucoma; HIV or AIDS; multiple sclerosis and other disorders characterized by muscle spasticity; and nausea. Other conditions are subject to approval by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services. Patients (or their primary caregivers) may legally possess no more than one ounce of usable marijuana, and may cultivate no more than six marijuana plants, of which no more than three may be mature. The law establishes a confidential state-run patient registry that issues identification cards to qualifying patients.
AMENDMENTS: Yes.
Senate Bill 94, which took effect on June 2, 1999, mandates all patients seeking legal protection under this act to enroll in the state patient registry and possess a valid identification card. Patients not enrolled in the registry will no longer be able to argue the "affirmative defense of medical necessity" if they are arrested on marijuana charges.

I've read that, before, what i was really asking is the best way to go about scamming a doctor, if thats what it takes. I mean, what to complain of specifically.

Based on the 24 plants law & only 1 oz. being legal, it seems like they could bust anyone they want to for growing if they have harvested it. I don't live in AK, but might be studying there soon.
Do many people get busted for growing? If so, does the Medical Card help in this instance?

I've never heard a law that let you have 24 plants. I remember it being 3 and then 6. The thing is probably like 5% of the people who can grow actually grow the amount they are supposed to. It can't be too big of a problem because my friends have been growing with a medical card and quite a few extra plants for a few years now and they've never had an issue.
Where are you studying at?

Oh and as far as the 1 ounce thing, it depends. If you get caught with less than a QP they'll usually just take your pot and give you a paraphernalia ticket for having pot around, but I'm sure that would be greatly compounded if you were caught in the home you were growing in.
I've never known a real grower that got popped except for the legend of the MTF guy. Usually just big suppliers get hit once every few years.

Click the link that braniac posted earlier. It specifies that 24 plants are legal. Maybe at University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau. Do you know anything about the school? Its not certain, I'm just thinking about it.

Hm, cool I'd never heard that.
Anyway I don't know shit about Juneau except that it's probably like every other Alaskan fishing town in that nobody will give a shit if you grow weed as long as you'll share once in a while.
