how long do you run the humidifyer?? i was thinking of puting it on a timer and haveing it come on for 3 hrs a day, keeping the container sealed untill harvest and useing a hole in the side of the container with a filtration disks for air transfer. i will be useing a 112qt rubbermade. the humidty for ideal conditons should be 90% correct?

It depends what you are doing, 95%- 100% is for cakes and 95%+ for pin initiation of casings and i forget the exact low % for casings but it's something like 88%-92%. You need to test you times out with a hygometer to figure out how to set your timer

Get the timer from Eckerds (if you can) it allows you to set in 15 minute intervals. You are going to probably have to spend a whole day with a hygrometer to adjust it right for your grow space. 30 minutes on every 2 hours gives 12 air exchanges per day and keeps at 90% for a particular 2 terrarium setup that I know of.

I got ripped on my Hygrometer from "Lowe"ly place. it only reads up to 89% then it read HI after it hits 90. I have playing a guessing game the whole time. I think it's important to have the right RH but not detrimental.

i figured i was in the ball park im just going to have to tweek it a bit......are you sure they make a timer that will do 15min intervals?? i have looked around and all i can find is the hourly ones.....as long as i keep a 85-90% humidity i should be strait. thanks for your time....
