Look at the bright side. This all could be a lie and everything will end in two years.

A lot of people have to work on themselves personally before we'll see some sign of mass enlightenment. It could take centuries or millenia or just 10 years. Waiting around for it or rejecting responsibility because you want to be comfortable or you take other people as an example will only delay us. I personally have a lot of work to do, but I know this and accept it. (which isn't to say I see myself as an evil sinner, I'd rather say I have a lot of room to grow in joy and fulfillment)
There are two ways to enlightenment: suffering or transformation

You guys ever heard that David Bowie song 5 Years, about how the world is ending in five years? I thought it was pretty fitting.
-------------------- 1. "After an hour I wasn't feeling anything so I decided to take another..." 2. "We were feeling pretty good so we decided to smoke a few bowls..." 3. "I had to be real quiet because my parents were asleep upstairs..."

Apparently the world will always be ending in five years. It's in the predicable nature of humanity as we know it.

5 Years, a couple of months, and a few weeks (give or take)....
How long does "mass enlightenment" take....? And if we haven't been able to do it yet, what makes you think we can do it in the next million years....?
