Confusion regarding LC
    #7540244 - 10/20/07 06:00 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

So I've been looking through the forums checking out the LC tecs and what not. Im going to go with A honey recipe like one spoon of organic honey to 1 cup of water...newase. My understanding of a liquid tech is that your goal is to get mycellium growing in the liquid, thats bascially all i got so far. IS what i just said even correct, what am i suposed to do with a completed LC? Use it to inoculate cakes err whaa? Please i need a clear understanding of how this works. thank yeas

you're supposed to use it to inoculate substrate for quick colonization.

The goal of a LC is to inject myc instead of spores.

yup, you turn 2cc's of spores into 200 cc's of potent mycelium. you can knock up anything with that!

back to the LC 1 spoon to one cup of water is way too much
more like 1/4 teaspoon to 2 or 3 cups water

it's one teaspoon to a half cup

one tsp = 4.9mL
one half cup = 118.3mL

if you did that exactly, you'd have 3.9% of the smaller ingredient

Quantity then is a very important aspect? thanks for adding that

Also if i bury the cake outside that might work? Im in easterncannaaddada Currently it is quite humid, not to cold yet. But we are getting random nights of frost, will that be good fer emm?

Well since cubensis is tropical, I wouldn't want it to get frosty. I dont know what temperatures you're getting, here where I am it's about 80% humid and 60-75 degrees.

I wouldn't grow cubensis outdoors. But some mushrooms love it! I'd guess the woodlovers.

Yeah, a tablespoon is 3 teaspoons, and you want 2 teaspoons to 1 cup so you want two thirds of a tablespoon. Much more, and the myc wont grow. less is better
