LC additives (popsicle or BRF?)
    #7540186 - 10/20/07 05:42 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

My super-honey LC needs to move on in a few days. I'm going to use some for an innoc, I'm going to experiment with the rest.

There was one person who forgot about his LC and had a myc mass floating on it which fruited! So here is what I think:

Wait for myc clumps to grow to about 1/4-1/2 inch then either break up a popsicle stick, or add some BRF to the mix to see if the myc wants to grow on those.

Possible cons: The sticks I think will sink, and I dont think colonization will go too fast (if at all) under the surface. Same thing with BRF, unless I sort of dusted the top.

Any suggestions of what nutrients will float allowing my myc to colonize and breathe? I have great temp, all the FAE you could ever want, and a very sterile enviro.
Sticks or BRF?
You may choose only one

honey , malt, maple syrup , raw sugar .. they all work ..
that floating shroom was honey and dextrose with a few kernels of grain
which floated to the top and made a shroom .. if you want to reproduce this .. do what he did

well I'm thinking of growing a layer on top, and I know honey sinks. I have karo, but that's probably too strong for the myc, so I want to make a life-raft of sorts.

EDIT

I just read the second line of your post :-D Now I know what to do, thanks a bunch!!
