I smell hypocricy.
This is seriously an outrage. Can anyone else see that this contradicts the same freedom of speech and religion that many would wish to have?

I don't think drugs apply, but people should be able to speak both sides on that one too.
I read that schwarzenegger was in gay pornography when he was younger. Maybe he did this to pay back the gay community for helping make him rich and famous. From what I've read there's a lot of gay people in the movie industry.

I think it makes sense. Schools typically do not teach human beings to think, but simply what to remember, in order to be accessible to corporations and industries that need workers. Giving children information and perspective with which they can learn to respect other people's choices is a good thing. Tolerance of other people's choices is good, and will benefit those who make other lifestyle choices, like the right to bear arms, smoke marijuana, etc. etc. etc.
The groups that are reacting to this are doing so out of fear. They fear homosexuality. They fear their children will become homosexuals. Its baseless.

But it's not just about freedom of expression. What people are having a problem with is pushing a fringe view that causes gender confusion, and forces the supression of any negative view against homosexuality or transexuality.
Here are explicit examples:
Quote:
The bills, backed by the homosexual community, have been dubbed 'Sexual Indoctrination' bills by critics however as they ban anything in public schools that could be interpreted as negative toward homosexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyle choices.
This goes against freedom of speech and expression. It promotes a favorable slant to gays while eliminating any arguement to the contrary or alternative viewpoints.
Quote:
The Campaign for California Families (CFF), has hit out at the bills, stating that for a schoo district to prove that there is no "discriminatory bias" in their textbooks, classroom instruction, and school activities, the district would have to positively portray various sexual lifestyles in all school instruction and activities.
That is indoctrination, plain and simple.
Quote:
hus terms such as "Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" must now be either removed or offset with other terms that are friendly to "alternative" lifestyles. Furthermore materials that portray marriage as only between a man and woman must be altered and materials that say people are born male or female must also be amended.
No more Mom and dad see. They're redefining the family and you'd better get on board or you could lose your job.
Quote:
Teachers will likely also face punitive action and lawsuits brought by the state's department of education if they do not present homosexual marriage and sex-change operations, for instance, on the same level as traditional marriage and family.
And now they're forcing people to push this bias, even against their own belief system. Say goodbye to freedom of religion. (I have to say it's definitely not the first time actually)
Quote:
Schwarzenegger also signed into law a bill prohibiting state funding for programs that do not support alternative sexual practices, which affects churches, day cares, preschools, senior services, and other organizations.
Now people who own daycares or churches are being discriminated against because they do not share the same views as gay people and transgenders. relgious discrimination again.
Quote:
The bills signed by Schwarzenegger include SB777, which bans anything in public schools that could be interpreted as negative toward homosexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyle choices.
There are no similar protections for students with traditional or conservative lifestyles and beliefs, however.
HYPOCRICY
Quote:
Offenders will face the wrath of the state Department of Education, up to and including lawsuits.
Quote:
Further, homecoming kings now can be either male or female – as can homecoming queens, and students, whether male or female, must be allowed to use the restroom and locker room corresponding to the sex with which they choose to identify.
That is insanity.
Quote:
As WND reported, a board member for the homosexual advocacy group Equality California verbally attacked and threatened CRI for its opposition to the bill earlier.
The board member sent an e-mail and video to CRI threatening the group would be buried if it continued efforts opposing the homosexual advocacy.
Nice people?
Quote:
Further, the groups advise, "If you change your name to one that better matches your gender identity, a school needs to use that name to refer to you." The advocacy group also warns schools against bringing parents into any such discussion with students.
Yes, seperate the child from the parents rightful gaurd and scrutiny so hey can fill their ears with propoganda and take advantage of the naivity and impressionability of a young child by government drones.
fireworks, I seriously don't know what you're thinking. This is outrageous. It seems very ironic that such a person as yourself who supports freedom of different views, would support such an injustice.
Stay away from public schools. I learned it a long time ago.
