In this new article,
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/7536907#7536907
Dea spokesman is quoted as saying this:
Quote:
Asked if the DEA opposes the stalled House Resolution 1009, which would nix industrial hemp from the definition of marijuana, Sanders said the Justice Department and President Bush would make that call.
"When it comes to laws, we don't have a dog in that fight," he said.
I do not vote and I try not to get to involved in legal matters, but concerning drugs this is one thing that bugs me. They are persecuting people for using the drugs God has given us, and spoken to be clean.
Obviously it will become clear to anyone who visits their website that they are working hard to fight any legal movement to overthrow the current drug laws.

Just wanted to point this out, and I'm wondering if this is in any way unconstitutional.
Any thoughts?

I don't see it as unconstitutional, but I feel its a bad buisness for an executive branch dept. to be involved in. They should explain their present actions and policy, not promote new law.
But yah, I reacted similarly and posted something like this showing they're talking out of both sides of their mouth...
