Call technical support. It should give them a good laugh.

There are a couple of different kinds of monitor plugs, vga and some other one, you can get adapters at best buy it you have a different monitor. I use a high-def tv for a monitor so I needed an adapter. Some computer monitors use them too.

Or it might not have integrated video on the motherboard and you will have to get a videocard.

You probably need a vga to dvi adapter. The only reason I can think of that you cant plug in your monitor, is the monitor being vga. and the video card having two dvi ports.

My X800XL only has DVI so if you use a VGA monitor you may need to get an adapter. They really over price them in brick and mortar stores. Office max tried to charge me $26.00 for one.
