Am I missing something?

The last couple time I grew I used the PF tek, with ok results. I am now ready to move up to grain. I just wanted to run my plan by the pros to make sure I'm not missing anything.
grain= organic rye berries Plan A: obtain colonized grain them spawn it to a mix of coir&coffee grounds. Then case it with a 50/50 or 50/50+.
Plan B: obtain colonized grain them spawn it to a mix of coir&Hpoo. Then case it with a 50/50 or 50/50+.
If I go with plan B I will be getting THIS Dehydrated Manure from Mycosupply. Will using this Hpoo stink up my room? Will pasteurizing it stink up my PC?
Thanks for any and all replys!

Lana may chime in here with another side of this... but from what I hear, that manure is not what you want at all and is not easy to use for newcomers to manure. a field-aged, dried, shredded and screened product is what you want.
Hpoo is the better option, no question, it's just that I've yet to hear many good stories about using that product for home use. I've heard plenty bad ones, so it's worth researching yourself. I personally don't have an opinion on it, I've never used it. I stick to the dried, aged and shredded kind myself.

Given the options, I think you'd have significantly less difficulty with coco-coir and used coffee grounds for this round. That way you can concentrate on learning the bulk substrate process and not have to spend a significant portion of your time learning about the preparation of manure.
Also, our favored strains don't really like "paste-like consistency" for substrates so you'll have to make amendments to bring a lot of "fluff" into it. Might be more than you want to deal with on the first round.
Personally I'm more of a compost & coco-coir type guy...

But as always, YMMV...

Do you make your own compost or buy it from a store?

im using hpoo from mycosupply for my first bulk an it seems to be going very well. but you are right it does turn out a little pasty after you pasturize it. thats why i use a bit of straw to "fluff it up"
