Martha Setup, condensation on carpet

Hello all, long time viewer first time poster. I have some casings that are fruiting fairly well for my first time, this is a really fun experiment and extremely informational at that. My problem is with my martha I only used two shelves as I lacked the space for a full 5 foot setup. I ran my hand under the martha which i had plastic laying under to catch any water and it appears the carpet has still gotten wet, I am inquiring as to suggestions for things to put under it to catch the water as i dont want mold and mildew smell forming on the carpet in my closet.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks very much.

Check at Wal-Mart or some such place for shallow under-bed type storage containers. Ditch the lid, and you should be able to place your martha setup directly inside. Depending on the size of the container, you may need to do a little futzing to make it a little more airtight.

I had similar problems... I had bought a grow closet type martha setup from ebay but it would not fit in the underbed storage container so I bought some pond liner from a local landscape supply places and build my own tray out of 2 x 4 s and plywood. Also it is a good idea to put perlite in the tray to help keep the rh of the martha healthy.

another great solution is to go to your favorite big-box hardware store and ask them for a washing machine drip tray. They're about 38"x38" or whatever the standard size of a washing machine is, I can't recall... either way they work great for catching any extra condensation.

excuse my language, but that is a god damn good idea. never thought of that. right on.
I run a standard 4 tier greenhouse and it's dimensions are roughly: 28 inches wide by 20 inches deep and however tall. I can NOT for the life of me find an underbed storage container that will work. none of them are at least 20 inches wide at the inside base. a few list that width, but that's for the lid, not the tapered bottom where the greenhouse would sit. I've looked in every local store, which is dozens... nothing.
Now I can go back and check the box stores for drip trays... duh. very observant of you, good job!!
but for now I made custom cardboard boxes lined with trash bags for the bottom. filled with damp perlite as raw said.

I like contraptioning. Half the fun for me, in this hobby, is designing the equipment.
