Tripping slows down life`

The last time i tripped i realized how when you take psychedelics, it takes the speed of life and slows it down, magnifies your experiences of the past.
When i take mushrooms, it allows me to reflect on whats been happening in my life, choices i made and am making currently, and situations that are important to me. Those five hours can feel like weeks or even years, i always come out of a trip with the feeling that i have just lived a lifetime.
I know the properties of time dilation that shrooms and other psychs can have, but i'm not only talking about that. When im tripping feel as though its like life intensified for those few hours, where all of your focus is drawn to the NOW, the experience.
I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone, and i don't think i worded it as best i could, but does anyone understand what im talking about? Agree? Disagree?

I agree, I love those trips that make you feel like you are ancient and timeless.

When I trip I sometimes feel very connected to my relatives from the past. It's like in my core I feel like I really understand who I am, and am proud of where I came from.

I completely agree man.
The last time I tripped I read Ram Dass' Be Here Now and ever since then, I feel like I've.. never came down. i'm fucking amazed at the beauty of the patterns that unfold
I highly, highly, highly recommend buying the book. There is a lot more to the actual book than is on the pdf circulating around, but that's pretty bad ass too.
anything to ring the bell of freedom

The lessons gained from that book can be monumental when used right, thats why its the sub-name above my avatar heh. I learned about it however, when a friend of mine went through psychosis from poly-drug abuse and read way too deeply into the book, completely took its meanings the wrong way. I subsequently became interested, read up on Richard Alpert, and then read his book be here now. It's great when you feel its time to "graduate" from psychedelics and move on with life, i haven't reached that point yet, but there's still a lot to be gained from reading the book. Oh and i was tripping when i first read it as well
