Drip shield getting in the way
    #7534249 - 10/19/07 06:12 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

dudes other cakes are fruiting right, one cake just has one fat ass shroom growing and it is under the highest part of the drip shield and it is going to hit it. The other cakes near the lower part of the drip shield are going to hit as well. I need to remove the drip shield what can I do to prevent water droplets from falling on our babies?!?!?

I don't know why the drip shield is still in the pf tek. It's really not necessary. Just spray the sides of the container and then you don't need a drip shield. Most people don't use them. I would personally just take it out. If you remove it, and water droplets fall on the shrooms, it's okay. Just don't seal up the box right away.

good luck!

Yea, remove the drip shield if it's in the way. If you drill a few holes in the fruiting chamber, you won't have much condensation anyway.
