The speed in Oregon is horrible. Some reasons why crystal meth is bad for you: (1)It constricts your veins and and rots your teeth since they cannot get any blood to them, if you smoke it they rot from the inside and outside and if you grind your teeth or clinch your jaw they begin to break and before you know it you will be eating little chunks of your own teeth (2) crystal meth breaks down collagen, that's what holds your skin together, when crystal meth is in your blood stream your entire body is brought to slight liquid state. (3) It ages your skin very rapidly, the crystal that comes out of your pores puts a meth coating (hard to get completely off, must soap and rinse 4 or 5 times in the show) on you that makes your skin wet, your skin begins to prune since it is wet, and if you are spun all the time the wrinkles will stay and your face will look wrinkled and old. (4) Crystal Meth can be very much like LSD (especially if you have no tolerance to it, you can get mad fractals, and breathing visuals) and if you use it all of the time your mind will become "burned out".

> who uses meth, and can tell me about it, because all i ever hear is that it's really bad for you, but not why

I haven't touched meth since the early 90's (back when it was crank), but my experience with it doesn't match up with the anti-drug hype. I didn't find it to be very addictive, but I was very careful in my use. I only played on weekends, and only once a month or so (if that), and made certain not to "bump" to get through the hangover. I also never smoked or injected. There were four in the group that used to play, three of us got out fine and one became addicted.

The real negatives, based upon my personal experience:

1) You don't sleep while on the drug. If you keep bumping (re-dosing), you can stay awake for up to a week. When this happens, your body and mind start to fail. Don't binge, or you pay the price.

2) You don't eat while on the drug. No hunger at all. After a week of no food, your mind and body start to fail. Don't binge, or you pay the price.

3) You grind your teeth while on the drug. This is very hard on your teeth. At the same time, it makes your jaw very sore. When you come off the drug, after having not eating, your jaw is too sore to chew food, leaving you unable to easily eat.

4) You have to be doing something while on the drug. It is easy to play darts, for example, for ten hours straight not realizing that your arm wants to fall off in protest.

5) The hangover is absolutely horrid. You are in a state where you are so tired you can't think, but you can't sleep. Your body needs food, but you can't eat. You have been awake too long making it difficult to think coherent thoughts. If you bump, all the bad goes away (until the bump wears off), leading to addiction. If you are going to play, you have to pay the price and suffer the hangover, or pay the price and suffer the addiction.

6) I never smoked or injected, but the taste of the drip is absolutely horrid. Unlike other powders, this one opens your nose up making it easier to breath. I suspect the drip is pretty hard on your body, but suspect that is from poor quality in manufacture rather than the nature of the drug itself. (I don't know on this one...)

7) You tend to neglect your body while on the drug, and the drug lasts eight to twelve hours per dose. Things like showering or brushing your teeth become distant thoughts.

8) You have to put up with idiots that make stupid claims that are not based upon anything more than government propaganda about the drug; certainly not based upon their own experiences. The drug can be very addictive for some people, and can be very hard on the body if you abuse it. At the same time, I never felt the need or draw to use meth when I was at work, or school, etc. I cannot say the same for cocaine, tobacco, and to some extent alcohol. For me, these later three are much more addictive than meth.

A couple of lies told by the anti-drug yoyo's:

1) Meth does not make you hallucinate. It is nothing like LSD. Lack of sleep, however, does make you hallucinate. Don't binge.

2) Meth does not make you psychotic. Lack of sleep, however, does make you psychotic. Don't binge.

3) In my experience, meth, crank, ice, etc, are all the same thing. The only difference is purity.

Personally, I don't think meth's high is worth the hangover, which probably explains why I haven't touched it in over a decade. I don't think meth is as bad as people make it out to be. If you abuse the drug, it will abuse you back, and you will end up like the horror stories depict. If you try it once or twice, based upon my experience, you aren't going to instantly become a raving addict that will do anything for another line. At the same time, if you avoid it, you aren't missing much.

Any drug can be used safely in moderation. I also believe that you can avoid problems like meth mouth and horrible hang overs by taking care of your body and taking appropriate actions. Just make sure u do propper research before using any drug. And be sure to use it in moderation

> I also believe that you can avoid problems like meth mouth and horrible hang overs

I disagree. There is nothing you can do about the teeth griding, other than use some kind of mouth guard... which most won't do while tweaking... and the hangover comes with the usage and cannot be avoided except by re-dosing (which leads to larger problems). If you do meth, then you are going to suffer some of the negative consequences. However, I do agree with you, responsible use mitigates the risk/harm of the negatives.

im just suggesting from personal experiences.. that not every1 actually experiences heavy jaw clenching. For some reason it doesnt happen to me haha. And our teeth are incredibly strong bones..capable of heavy abuse. So i just think that if you take precations..both health wise (actual care of teeth and gums) and even going as far as to do things like giving urself chew toys.... its quite possible to either prevent or delay meth mouth. And theres different ways to make comedowns more tolerable... weed, alcohol, opiates. Im not condoning the usage of these drugs. I just think that with proper care and research, there are safe ways of doing them.

You know what Meth is the best drug ever I think everyone should try and get as much meth as they can and use it in moderation. And if the desire to use more confronts you. you should stop and think.... and then only do a little. meth is awesome.

Meth is a gateway drug in this country. Heavy users go onto use "skunk", the most dangerous and evil form of cannabis or any drug ever.

crystal meth not like LSD? I use get LSD-like effects just from SMOKING IT! My field of vision would be extremely psychedellic looking, not just the walls would be breathing but everything would have the "breathing effect", and the fractals and tracers were WAY more intense than any fry I've ever had. Nowadays I can slam a have teener and not even get very extreme fractals, firing have grams doesn't even make me cough anymore. The dope is always pure. Good shit in SF.

I ahve been a meth user on and off for the last 3 years of my life. I gurantee I look nothing like that girl in the shower, I am pretty sure that only happens to you if your cooking and and smoking grams everyday. Meth can be a very beatiful thing, if not abused. If you ahve a very addictive personality don't fuck with it.

I didn't listen to the audio, and I may well be a sick fuck, but for some reason that commercial cracked me up.

Quote:

Look at me, busy as a bee
Where'd I get all this energy?
Oh, meth. Mmm, meth!
I don't sleep and I don't eat
but I've got the cleanest house on the street
Oh, meth. Mmm, meth!
Get these hairs all out of my face
Get these bugs all out of my place
One more hit, no time to waste
Oh, meth. Mmm, meth!

Methamphetamine abuse increases the the ease at which foreign substances cross your blood brain barrier, as a result you get sick and fucked up shit happens to you quickly.

Edit- Stressing abuse, here
