linux ftp client

what is a good one? I would prefer one with a GUI, but if there are command line ones that are better im sure i can pick up on the commands...

oh, and im running ubuntu 7.04 if that makes any difference

If you use Firefox to browser the web, FireFTP is a nice little extension.

gftp is cool. But, if you are a Linux user you probably will have no problem with using the command line open sftp client, if you are connecting to a server running sshd.

you can always still use filezilla if you are familiar with it from windows.

but the command line ftp is easy enough to master. if you can move around your computer, rm, mv, cd, cp, ls, etc, you will be fine with cli ftp.

lftp. Non-GUI. You can tab-complete filenames, and even pipe the listings to grep, sed, etc...
