I have 12 half-pint jars and I am wondering how many syringes I am going to need to inoculate all of these jars?

I would recommend a minimum of 1cc per jar. In your case you might be able to stretch a 10cc syringe over 12 jars or just order from a vendor who supplies syringes in this quantity. Otherwise you're looking at 2 syringes.

well, u could use just under a cc per jar, and get all twelve jars done.
i only use a half cc per jar. when i do use spores, and when i do make cakes.
I am a bulk grower, so i generally use either LC or g2g transfer.
On occasions, (peoples birthdays, christmas) I make cakes to gift out to close dear friends, and, as i mentioned above, that is how i do it.

I see no problem with why one syringe would'nt work. I have innoced 12 jars with 1/2 cc each before, however i don't reccomend it. Firstly, it is real hard to put that little into each jar. 1/8 cc per hole, (about a millimeter or two of play with the plunger) Second, They will take about a week longer to colonise with such a minisclue amount of spore solution. Third, with increased colonization time, your contam risks and stalling possiblitiies are increased exponentially. But if the jars have PERFECT moisture, and are PERFECTLY sterilized, the last two shouldnt be a problem.

I'd suggest just making 10 jars. It'll be easier, and you'll have two spare jars for whatever you need them.

2 to be safe, you should flame the needle in between jars and squirt some liquid out to cool the neddle.

no need to waiste spores. flame needle between jars and use an alcohol soaked paper towl to cool it down, even better. flame the needle then use a piece of spunge soaked in alcohole and cover the needle. thus the needle stays clean.
