strange wakeup rituals

I drink coffee in the morning, but before I even make it near the kitchen I usually head for the bathroom... turn on the shower... and SIT in the shower, letting the hot water just rain down on top of my head.
I'm sure a cold shower like that would wake me up a lot faster.. but I don't know.. this way has sort of a zen feeling. It relaxes me while it slowly wakes me up ..while I spent about 5 minutes sitting there zoning out and thinking about everything I need to do for the day.... I get to think without being distracted by the news or by brushing my teeth or yada yada.

I just sit and try to remember as many details about my dreams as possible. I'm gonna try that sitting shower thing tomorrow

lol! I'm the same as you, I thought I was a weirdo.
I just sit and think in the shower too (not too good for the electric bill). I tried to stop for a while but it turns out I really do need 15 mins of 'me time' in the morning to wake up, plan my day and get to grips with whatever dreams I've just woken from. As soon as I'm out of the shower it's all go-go-go until the same ritual the next morning.
Heh, I'm even late for work rather than cutting a shower short. Go figure.

I keep a foreman grill next to my bed and lay 6 strips of bacon on it the night before. When I wake up I roll over plug in the grill and fall back to sleep so I can wake up to the smell of bacon sizzling.

i do the same thing in the shower pretty much - i usually spend 5-10 minutes slowly convincing myself i should go to school. basically the next few months of my life will be the same, exact duplicates of the day before them - so shower time is precious time.
edit: the bacon thing is pretty damn funny
i usually just love the smell of fresh coffee grounds - it smells like jitters

I hit the snooze three times, wander into the bathroom, poop, get into some work clothes, read a little bit of a book if I have time, stare at the floor for a while, get on the bus.
If I don't have work, I get up early, make chai, read a book, play some music, and then do one of two things: go back to bed, or start drinking.

I wake up around 1 or 2, smoke a lot of weed, drink a half a beer.
Shower
Go to work or do not.... and based on that decision either sit around smoking weed and kill a 12 pack or... do some cocaine. Or I sit at work bored out of my skull

i wake up angry... sometimes i might throw something, most often ill go back to sleep and put off the responsibilities that necessitated the alarm clock in the first place. i had to quit smoking pot, this has made my sleep patterns quit irregular recently. i find myself either not able to sleep at all, or sleeping like im dead for 12 plus hours at a time. sooner or later it should level out, i hope.

I like to wake up at about 9, 3 hours before work. I lay in bed for a while thinking about dreams, hop up and check the internetz, make a huge breakfast, do some situps, get in the shower, listen to some music and head off to work.
If I wake up just before I go to work and get straight into the shower I have no energy and feel shit all day.

I also sit in the shower, and another slightly off shower habit of mine is that I'll leave the curtain open some to heat up the rest of the room so I don't step out into a cold bathroom

This might sounds somewhat weird but I am obsessed with the bathroom. The water running for a bath or shower is something that is just amazing to me. I love to hear the sound, smell the water, feel the steam running down my spine, and see the mirrors fogging up.
Every morning I make a little bed out of towels and lie on the bathroom floor and listen to the water run for a good 5-10 minutes. It's pretty damn wasteful I'm sure but I'm somewhat addicted.

OH yes that reminds me, I turn the shower on before I do everything else (brush my teeth, etc.) that way the shower is hot BEFORE I step in, and I can watch the room get steamy

I usually hit the snooze a couple times. I then step in the shower, and have a 10-15 minute shower just 'cuz it helps me clear my shit, plan my day. Then I rip some bong and decide if I should go to school.
