The terrible leaders are the ones who really, really want it. The ideal president would have the office thrust on him against his will. A reluctant president. I say we take Al Gore and brick him up inside the oval office. Pipe in food and water and tell him he can come out for some air in four years.

Why do you say that?

“Strengthened by contemplation and study,
I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

He didn't invent global warming.  And he doesn't need the money (if he's even making any from An Inconvenient Truth - I don't think he is, but I could be wrong), and he's obviously not interested in running for president again, so why did his career need saving?

Though he did invent the Internet to save your social life. :tongue2:

JK, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

You don't have to, but I would like to hear your explanation. I personally think Al Gore is one of the better prominent politicians in the U.S.
