Cheney, Obama 'distant cousins'
    #7528119 - 10/17/07 03:03 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

They may be polar opposites politically but US Vice-President Dick Cheney and Democratic candidate Barack Obama are related, Mr Cheney's wife says.
Lynne Cheney said she had discovered while doing family research for a new book that her husband and the Illinois senator were eighth cousins.

She said she traced a common ancestor of the two men to be a 17th century immigrant from France.

She described the connection as "amazing".

"This is such an amazing American story that one ancestor... could be responsible down the family line for lives that have taken such different and varied paths."

According to Mrs Cheney's spokeswoman, Mr Obama is distantly related to Mareen Duvall, whose son Samuel married the granddaughter of Mr Cheney's ancestor, also called Richard Cheney.

Mr Obama's spokesman, Bill Burton, responded to the news by saying: "Every family has a black sheep."

Mr Cheney, the brooding neo-conservative closely associated with the decision to invade Iraq, has little else in common with Mr Obama.

Mr Obama, the son of a Kenyan man and a white woman from Kansas, has earned epithets like "rock star" because of his popularity among young Democrats, and a reputation as a liberal because of his voting record in the Senate.

Not if you know that the vast majority of all U.S. presidents have been related... it's an elite dog and pony show.
Politics is psyops
The etymological roots of the word "government" breaks down into "mind control".

It would be hilarious if this story were seeded by republican operatives with the intention of trying to get democrats to sour on Obama. They bust out Cheney like some corpse that pops out of a closet in a haunted house...
With political propaganda it's less about the literal meanings of the words on the page and more about what happens in your mind when you read them.

I'd be willing to bet I'm closer relations to both of them than they are to each other. I'd probably make the same bet about most of the Shroomery. Eighth cousins, sheesh, that's most of the country.

I'm not sure, why but this is scaring me.... I guess I always figured the Cheney's asexually reproduced. Isn't that how the lesbian daughter is spawning another? I think its a simple mitotic split

PS I don't think people would rip on cheney so much if he didnt look like some sort of robot in every single picture he appears in. The man is liike a walking (barely) parody of the human body

He is just an evil looking bastard.

I mean, he's evil. Thats a given.

But its rare to find someone who just visibly oozes hatred and paranoia in almost every picture he takes the way Cheney does.

totally true. look in the uk what you have is a 3 party system. no-matter what party gets in they will do the same thing. cheney, bush, farther bush, its right what you say mate they is an elite and its those who put the puppets in power.

before JFK got killed look what he said, he said something along the lines of there are secret societys and hidden hands haveing a say in what goes on and we want no-more of it, and look what happened to him after saying that.
