misting BRF cakes

so my cakes have done quite well and I followed RR's video on dunking and then rolling in verm
waited 30 mins then misted and again for 1st few hours
now how often do the cakes need to be misted?
I also noticed a little moisture buildup on the tin foil that I sat the cakes on and that scares me of contams
whats a good way to be sure moisture doesnt buildup at the bottoms?
I also noticed that the mycelium has grown right through the outer layer of verm in 2 days and is quite a bit fluffier than the original cake after it was birthed

i winder if you could do like an actual 50/50 roll and let your cake keep getting bigger and bigger

Although I am no expert on the situation, the way I believe it's supposed to be once you roll the cakes in verm, wait 30 minutes for it to stick, then mist once or twice, until the verm is just moist. And for the moisture problem at the bottom, try putting a little bit of verm on the foil, then your cake on the verm. And that's a good point Slimz, but if your gonna go through that much trouble, you might as well just case it!! Hope this helps and good luck bud!

The point of misting is just to get more hydration for the cake while it's fruiting, so once you get the verm moist, wait about 2 hours, mist it again and then let your perlite, humidifier, whatever do the rest of the work until the next flush. All of that was pretty much derived straight from Roadkill's video, they are very informative.

Not quite. You'll want to continue misting all the way through harvest. The mushrooms pull a LOT of water out of the cakes. You have to replace it or you'll get very small mushrooms. RR

So how much should you mist the verm? A few times daily like civic said?
