Today i went hunting in a watershed area, here are my finds, any help on the ID's would be much appreciated:
Specimen 1 Habitat: foot tall grass, very wet ground, alot of the grass had started to decompose on the bottom Cap: Orange-yellow-tan Stem:White on top, turning to brown No observed bruising Gills: see picture



Specimen 2 Habitat: bruned circle in a field, with new gras starting to grow, lots of small clumps Cap: Brown Stem:Brown Gills: Grey


Specimen 3 Habitat: grass next to a parking lot Cap:Brown, light brown Stem: white-brown, "woody" Gills:brown

#1. Probably a Hypholoma species. (Not edible)
#2. Mycena spp. (Not edible)
#3. I think that's an Agaric type mushroom, but not sure. Sorry, I'm not too good with species' but I'm kinda good with Genera. (edibility unknown).

I guess it could be, but I would expect Hypholoma specimens of that age to have dark purple gills.
Since they are relatively mature and have gills the same color as the cap, I am going to guess something with white spores like Collybia or Gymnopus.

Agreed.
Species three is a Cortinarius.

any very general (i read the rules) suggestions on where to look in North western part of WA?
