Im New
Ok well.. I had the issue with a move and i had to rush a step and start fruiting my cakes. There about 85-95% covered. Should i just cut off some Mycelium and start off? or should i just let them grow?
Thank you,

Your screwed
lol, i thought i was being nice.
Trich spores have probably already landed on the un-colonized porition's of the cake even if you cant see them yet you will in the end. See, mycellium stop's growing once you give it the tempature drop and FAE so those spots will not colonize over, you could try cartarizing the cakes useing a heated knife to weld the uncolonized porition's of the cake but even that has a low success rate.
Sorry buddy but you should have just kept them in the jars were they would have colonized AND fruited.

are they colonized in the middle at all? cuz if not, yes,
lol, anyways, if its colonized in the middle, then you can cut off the uncolonized sub.

Get the most solid chunc of myc. you can find and you can carefully slip this into the top of a brf jar. Of course you'd anticapate you were useing a peice of myc. so you could maybe make the nocc hole bigger and push through? No verm barrier though or make it thinner so the myc can get through it and leave room for the peice of colonized sub.. thats your spores boy..

Just as a quick question on a related topic, if I have a cake that's about 100% and a little I can see tiny little balls of trich right at the top of the jar above the myc, should I trash it? I completely trust the trich=trash rule, but it showed up right when it was hitting 100%.

Your cake should be fine, fruit it as normal but I dont recommend useing any spores/tissue from the fruits... They will contain trich but it wont hurt you

Pro_X i had a cake that wouldnt colinise the bottom of a jar, it was very small, like it only had a few percent to go, so i sliced that off (about a 3mm slice of the entire bettom) to discover that the middle didnt look to be fully colinised, i just washed it dunked and rolled, then into the FC (NOT RECOMMENDED) and within a few days myc had managed to cover that part of the cake complelty. The cake even fruited from the top??
Maybe there is a timeframe from when myc is introduced to fruting that it will stop colinising???
