Masculine or Feminine?

A lot of times people refer to God as Him. Well, if this masculine creator birthed the universe, or whatever, and created man then wouldn't that make him a her?
This would only make so much sense.
Mother Earth, not Father Earth.
While the male-dominated cultures are the ones most often talked about or known. (as far as I know) I know there's cultures where women were held in a higher regard/status and in some cases higher than men. In the animal kingdom, aside from us, there's seems to be plenty of animals where the female is the more dominant sex.
So aside from it not having as nice a sound to it, why not Her? Why be so arrogantly ignorant against where we came from and not correlate that with "God"?

How about no God at all? I think that would really make sense.

Heh, i was going to add that lastly but then I'd have no argument and for the sake of this argument, why not "God" be feminine?

Fairy tale Gods and Goddesses can be whatever you want them to be. But the answer to your question has to do with being in a Patriarchal culture.

When God speaks, it is ALWAYS in a basso profundo voice. He is the ultimate alpha (and omega) male.
Evidence? Many sci-fi and religious movies will back me up on this.

From what I've gathered, It seems that mother earth is correct. She is being penetrated/sustained/impregnated with the sun's rays, IMO. Father?? The obelisk and the reflecting pool, maybe?? I feel that the supposed Son was a reflection of both energies. A snake on a cross or something. Clark Heinrich will tell you it is all mushroom symbolism and imagery dating back to the earliest of fertility cults. He strongly suggests that the mushroom (A. muscaria) is the act itself.

Kind of looks like a phallic symbol only a little bit then opens into both female and male parts in the act of sexual intercourse. When the edges are upturned like a cup, he also suggests that this is the HOLY GRAIL with its valuable contents.
Hate to say it but Starbucks is all over the Goddess logo. Check the cup.

Mother Earth/Father Sky is a pretty common concept, cross culturally. I mean, it just makes symbolic sense... you know, rain falling like sperm and making the seeds grow.
The Maori have a rad creation story about how mother earth and father sky were locked in an embrace and thier children (the gods) were stuck between them and so realized they had to pull them apart to make enough room for anything to live comfortably.

The Name 'Abwoon' is Aramaic for "Cosmic Mother-Father" or "Cosmic Birther." It is quite possibly the familiar Name that Iesus/Y'shua/Issa used for God - rather than the Hebrew 'Abba' that the [patriarchal] Gospel writers affirmed. In any event, the Name Elohim is a masculine-feminine composite Name for God which was used with regard to Deity until creation occurred in the Hebrew myth. Then the Name YHVH was used. Some interpreters say that there is a feminine aspect to this Name as well. Any Name or symbolic representation of Deity must contain the opposites, else there is lack, deficiency and this is a definition halfway to evil.

I consider God to be androgenous, high in both masculine and feminine traits.

It all depends on what God you're talking about? Are you refering to the catholic/christain God? Or the Historic Gods? And if you're refering to the Historic Gods do you mean the creators of humans alone or the creation of anything and everything?
