Ok, here goes.
I have a peyote, grafted on top of a San pedro. My first of course.
Heres the deal. I got the Peyote in July, grafted it at the begining of August to a San pedro. Everything seemed to be going good, the Loph is still alive, however about a week ago, it sprouted. Not what I was expecting. It looks the the San Pedro sprouted, and not the Loph.
I have never seen any pics of this happening before, so im rather confused. I dont have any grow lights, just Plants in a pot, in my window that gets plenty of day light. average room temp is around 70-75F year round. I'm adding 3 pics... and yes I know the pedros are growing skinny, which I am hoping more light will fix.
any help or ideas are welcome.
Thanks

the stock often pups, its not uncommon at all... just cut the new pup off.
those are some really etiolated cacti, they nedd ALOT more light!!! they look more peruvanoid than pachanoid to me also... even if u give them more light now and they grow normally they will always have that skinny bit, and when they get tall it will be a very weak point...

I dont want to have artificial light, but if I need to do that; whats the best kind to use for a crop like that? btw I cut off the pup. Any ideas on when a Loph that size will start puping?

right now I have it in the place where it will get the most light it can in my house. Right between the 2 front windows, blinds open with the curtains shut behind the pot. Other then that I need some grow lights.
as for hps/hid I have no idea what that means. please elaborate.
Thanks
