I beleive that we where built for one to one relationships. If we where ment to be with more than on person at a time then there would be probably less sexuial transmitted diseaes as we would have a greater imunity towards them.

Also could you truly be happy with you girlfriend/boyfirend sleeping with 3 or 4 other people as well as being with you. You should find a bestfriend some some special to give them all your attention and make them feel special and wanted. How can this be done if your with more than one person.
We shoulsd be evolving not de-evolving.

Meant by whom? God? AIDS is so recent a disease, that there has been way too little time for humans to adapt a genetic immune response. Most other forms of VD do not prevent procreation. Life dosn't care what happens to you after that, so a shortened life span has little affect on evolution nor the continuance of the species.

Also would you be happy with you girlfriend/wife sleeping with 3 or 4 other men as well as being with you.
As long as the ho' done give me my share of the bread.

In reply to:

But it does stop reproduction like chlamydia which can make you infertile.
Which means you will not pass on your genes to someone else.

Also I beleive AIDS is a man mad disease to kill of black people in africa.
Kinda like a racist population controll but thats another topic.

I'm told by my wife and others of the xx chromosomal type that when women are together for extended periods of time their menstrual cycles tend to synchronize. This could very well be hell on earth for one week out of every four.

With that in mind, I will now leave you with another sobering thought from a quote I read somewhere, "Why get married? Just find a woman you hate and give her half of everything you own."

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

you can spend the rest of you life with one person and not get married. I don't see why proving your love for each other infront of your family, friends, and God should change your relationship with your mate in any way. I'd rather spend the cash traveling and experiencing the world together than paying for photographers, live band, all the stupid wedding dresses and tuxedos, man the list goes on and on.

I found the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, but I had to get married otherwise the U.S. government wouldn't have allowed her to legally stay in the country. If it wasn't for that, we would not have made it 'legal.'

Always sign a prenup... if you don't and you split up, the man becomes a slave.

fuck marriage, just get her to get a job that will sponsor a work visa, I dunno.

But seriously, I know some happy people who are married. It's just too special to be a sure thing for every person, especially in this individual-comes-first society.

We don't have the strict marrige rules of other cultures, where people learn to love each other (usually ending up happy together).

dang it CJ, you been huffin' nitrous again?

hmmmm... married 25 years... maybe she & i might disagree as to how many of 'em was "good" years... our final wedding anniversary last tuesday... took her to dinner and gave her a yellow rose (i fear red rose no longer appropriate )... told her i wouldn't have missed it... sorry for the bad times, thanks for the good times (and we did surely have some very good times...)(& we both got a bit teary-eyed, sniff...)
~
if there is love, live it... try to make it last... and if love fades too far, well -- cherish the good, forgive the not-so-good... & if you can manage it somehow, allow friendship to survive the strain of dissolution... (& if not, do try not to eviscerate each other in the process ...)
i suppose it takes two to make it work, but only one to make it not work...

All I can say, is that I have been married for 14 years, and one woman is all I can handle, to add more that one, will send me to an early grave.
