i dont, but its just little chunks of green and red. its like bird vitamins. its the cockatiel (sp?)mix from walmart. i usually have no problems but this time its just...taking forever to disolve and if i pc it i know itll just turn into sludge.

I totally agree! I go buy a 40lb bag at the feed shop or petsmart for 5 or 6 dollars and it works like a charm! Don't over think the process. Keep it simple. No vitamins and other BS needed. If you want to supplement for healthier and larger shrooms, you need to do that at the substrate level not the grain level.

i dont get it because it has that crap in it, i get it because its 4 bucks for a ten pound bag and it works. like i said, its never any trouble, it just was acting strange this time and refusing to disolve while i soaked it, which isnt usually what happens.

Wow! Let's not get defensive about it. OK, so you don't "buy it for that vitamin crap". I would just try a different brand. If you know that you have that green stuff in it from the git go and you know it's not contamination, then what's the point in this thread? If looking at the green stuff bothers you that bad, start fresh with a different brand.

i wasnt being defensive. sorry if it came off like that.
i think the point of this thread was missed entirely. just forget about it.
i was just wondering if anyone that had used a similar brand had occasional problems from it.

This is the WBS of my choice.......
When it is fully soaked, simmered, and drained, it looks like this.
