Yes, they are big. There are some that are SUPER dense, like almost 100% solid w/ no center. here's one like that. I JUST realized that i have no aluminum foil or wax paper so i will have to do the prints tomorrow. So I have a few pictures of PART of the harvest. The largest mushies are still in the tub. This is like way more than i had anticipated on having. Good thing i got friends that like to trip too. Anyway, on with the mycoporn:

^Its a shitty picture but you can see in the center toward the top, it's solid, dense.

and it just blows right on top of your casing layer? do you have any problems with excess condensation?
i dont really remember reading anything in this thread about you adding any additives to your bulk. did you? ex. coffee, gypsum, verm?
by the way very nice grow brother.. keep up the good work
Thanks! If i mixed anything with the hpoo it would have either been gypsum or calcium carbonate. I will have to reread this thread. I hope i mentioned that earlier.

Over 1 ounce. lmao. I don't have a scale big enough to measure them while wet. I weighed one medium sized one and it was 28 grams. I loaded them up in my 5 tray dehydrator and then still filled up my oven with them. I will keep a fan on them for the next few days. I also have 10 lbs of damprid so i will use that later on i guess. All in all a healthy harvest. I was thinking about the second flush too. I will try to follow monstermith's tek regarding the dunking of the substrate and beginning the second flush. I will have to do some patching as it looks like a battle field now. lol.

hey, i just wanted to re-ask that first question in my last post about how long you keep that coolmist on in a day and if you ever had any problems with it blowing directly on the casing?

Oh, sorry i missed that one. I only ran it a few times a day and only for about a minute each time. I haven't encountered any problems thus far. It would be interesting to make a pvc misting system that went around the perimeter on the inside, thereby equally distributing the fresh air. Just by looking at it though, i would guess that this was the cause for the center of the tub to grow faster and larger than the rest. If anyone could comment on that i would be interested to hear about other experiences like this.

OK, so right now i have 3 dinner plates, 1 cookie sheet, one pizza tray and a 5 tray dehydrator full of mushies. I will add the dry weight in the next few days. The heaviest mushroom that i weighed was approx. 75 grams. I hope you all enjoyed the post! I am also taking 6 prints of the biggest mushies i had. I'd like to keep a few of them. So the next person to post gets a free print! just post and send me the addy in a pm.
EDIT: I added all the monotub pictures to my journal. I will add some commentary soon. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/7747669/an/0/page/0

Instead of a spore print, could I just have some of your own personal human DNA? I want to clone you and put you to work in my basement.

Thanks again for the comments. I have some slight bad news though. Yeseterday I spent a good portion of my time trying to dunk this huge slab of myc. Long story short it was a pain in the ass and im not too sure it's worth that effort. This is not due to the technique i used though. It's partly because this tub is really long. But mostly because, in my infinite stupidity, i GORILLA taped the black trashbag lining in the tub in the bottom of the tub. As i was trying to cut it out i broke the slab into two pieces. Anyway, i let it drain after i soaked it and put it back into the tub with a new lining after a thorough cleaning. I also added a casing layer, just enough of it to completely cover the top. Here's a picture of it now (sorry no dunking pics were taken):

Not sure what i should do now. I am going on vaca later this week and wont be back until the 30th. I'm just not too sure what to do with it now. lol
