Eating colonized Rye Berries

My foaf was curious about how much myc one would need to eat to experience a full blown trip.
So he took 2 fully colonized pint jars of rye berry, dumped them into a blender, topped it off with chocolate milk, and liquefied.
My foaf drank the slurry, and waited, which wasn't long at all, like 20 minutes, for the effects to begin.
About 1.5 hours later, my foaf had no choice but to vomit up the slurry, as the effects were so pronounced and the nausea unbearable.
After vomiting the proceeding trip was among the best ever experienced by my foaf.
So, if there are no fruits around, and you wanna trip, try this tek.

your "friend" must be a drug-crazed fiend if he's so desperate to trip that he would EAT mycelium...but hey, thats just my opinion

Wow, thats really just gross and sounds like someone might just be.... fiending. Your "foaf" sounds like someone just wanting to get fucked up and being desperate. Stupid if you ask me.

mycelium is actually usually eaten by people who can appreciate a very low dose. Not feinds.
If you are growing mushrooms you typically have more than you can eat for the time being. Even with cakes.
Boiling some mycelium doesnt hurt anyone unless you are a snotrag.
Mycelium is not very potent, but it can provide a trip.
I encourage anyone who has actually ever tried mycelium to say that it doesnt work. Just because that would be really funny. There is no chance in hell that it doesnt work. I have used somewhat spent cakes a few times. They are the best when it comes to cakes, and If you dont like lower doses, or cant feel lower doses then go figure you think this is just gross and useless.
Low doses are loved by many, and cakes can provide that low dose. The thing is, people usually grow mushrooms from cakes or casings, so they tend to get snotty when this question and answer is brought up.
Sorry people. Myc can provide a trip. Its not gross if you do it right, and there are no two ways about it.
saying myc doesnt make you trip or makes you a fiend is kind of like saying, shitty weed doesnt work, or "I dont know how shrooms work I just eat them".
Low dosers and high dosers can find psychedelic value from using pure myc.
One cake of BRF/vermiculite can lead to a fun little trip. If you smoke some herb with it its pretty obvious that just because you ingest mycelium doesnt make you a "feind"...............lol
Yep, myc works good. Its not as potent as some people would like. But then again, who cares if someone was let down by any low dose psychedlic experience.
I have tripped off of myc about 4 times. Its just a fun way to trip with all the preparation and shit. I mean, why not?
There are people with ounces of dried homegrowns and they still like fucking around with the cakes. It doesnt matter if they are selling or not.
Thats the reality. If done right its not gross, and only the few who need a shit ton of mushrooms to "trip" seem to have a problem with this old question.
Some people like subtle trips and get alot out of those trips. Is that really gross to some people? Myc is a gorgeous psychedelic plant before the fruit. Some of the best growers have used myc just to trip in a subtle or even a rather hardcore way.
Nothing wrong with eating myc, unless you are too fucking simple to understand why some people do this.
Some people can feel .5 grams of shrooms very easily.
Sorry........... Im just sick of people treating others like morons for asking a simple question about mycelium ingestion.
Eat whatever you want. Just keep it real and healthy for your own sake. Do it right.
I love myc.

No, there is nothing wrong with consuming mycelium in the proper prepration. I don't doubt that you can trip mild to hard of mycelium. But when you do something like make a simple slurry of out colonized rye (which sounds nasty) to trip, it soundish fiendish, at least IMO.
Although balls to whoever actually drank it, must of been MMMM, MMMM good along with the vomit aftertaste of rye. Along with it probably not being the healthiest thing, but their are things far worse. There is always a motive behind actions and with Captains post it comes off as getting fucked up when nothings growing (assumption of mine), thats all. I'm not knocking anyone for using mycelium to trip, just the method used for the thread.

Thanks for your support guys, there are always a few who just have to insult and name call, sad.
As far as weak, that's not accurate, it's plenty strong.
My foaf has since done it again, and once again he had the greatest trip ever!
Full visuals, hysterical laughing, peace and harmony!
How mean spirited and childish, grow up and leave people alone, since you are so damn smart, then I am sure everyone just bugs you to no end, oh wise Psycojackass52.

Actually, it had nothing to do with having or not having fruits, it was experimental.
And you are dead wrong about taste, it is no nastier then fruits, IMHO.
My foaf mixed with just enough chocolate milk to help cover the taste.
All he had to do was drink 3 cups of chocolate slurry, easier, no problem.
The second time he did not vomit at all, having reduced the amount of chocolate milk to minimize bloated.
Who says rye taste bad? Someone who has NEVER eaten it.
It has the same taste as fruits, obviously.
Plus, many have suggested this before because myc is easier to grow than fruits, in fact it's virtually impossible to mess up.
One could knock up 48 quarts and in 2-3 weeks have enough myc for a entire year!
Lets see you grow enough fruits to last a year within a month.

One could colonize 48 quarts in a rubber maid bin and have enough for two people to trip for an entire year, in less than 45 days, 21 days if doing G2G.

What the hell is wrong with tripping off mycelium? It has psilocin/psilocybin in it, you grew it, and if you're having trouble getting it to fruit, why the hell not.
I don't know anybody who genuinely "fiends" for mushrooms. I know people who have eaten way too many mushrooms, but that usually has more to do with availability than desperation.
Judgmental people here. Sheesh.

I have heard that its better to use cakes that have matured than cakes that have not produced any fruits yet. As they contain more of the active chemicals once it has matured.
Personally i just preffer cutting my shrooms up into small peices and swallowing them with some water.
I have had no problem fruiting anycakes, but i cant dis anyone for using this method, if it works for them, then why not. I supppose its a little more discrete too not having a big fruiting chamber with lots of shrroms growing.

Good point, discreet, your whole year supply can be hidden away in one bin, not the case when fruiting.
Like I said above, all it takes is a quart and 3 cups of chocolate milk, and you are well on your way!
