What city were these videos taken from?

Since everyone is on the topic of lyrics, heres some from AEnima:
Third Eye
Dreaming of that face again. It's bright and blue and shimmering. Grinning wide And comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes.
On my back and tumbling Down that hole and back again Rising up And wiping the webs and the dew from my withered eye.
In... Out... In... Out... In... Out...
A child's rhyme stuck in my head. It said that life is but a dream. I've spent so many years in question to find I've known this all along.
"So good to see you. I've missed you so much. So glad it's over. I've missed you so much Came out to watch you play. Why are you running?"
Shroud-ing all the ground around me Is this holy crow above me. Black as holes within a memory And blue as our new second sun. I stick my hand into his shadow To pull the pieces from the sand. Which I attempt to reassemble To see just who I might have been. I do not recognize the vessel, But the eyes seem so familiar. Like phosphorescent desert buttons Singing one familiar song...
"So good to see you. I've missed you so much. So glad it's over. I've missed you so much. Came out to watch you play. Why are you running away?"
Prying open my third eye. So good to see you once again. I thought that you were hiding. And you thought that I had run away. Chasing the tail of dogma. I opened my eye and there we were.
So good to see you once again I thought that you were hiding from me. And you thought that I had run away. Chasing a trail of smoke and reason.
Prying open my third eye
H
What's coming through is alive. What's holding up is a mirror. But what's singing songs is a snake Looking to turn this piss to wine.
They're both totally void of hate, But killing me just the same.
The snake behind me hisses What my damage could have been. My blood before me begs me Open up my heart again.
And I feel this coming over like a storm again. Considerately.
Venomous voice, tempts me, Drains me, bleeds me, Leaves me cracked and empty. Drags me down like some sweet gravity.
The snake behind me hisses What my damage could have been. My blood before me begs me Open up my heart again.
And I feel this coming over like a storm again.
I am too connected to you to Slip away, to fade away. Days away I still feel you Touching me, changing me, And considerately killing me.
Without the skin, Beneath the storm, Under these tears The walls came down.
And the snake is drowned and As I look in his eyes, My fear begins to fade Recalling all of those times.
I could have cried then. I should have cried then.
And as the walls come down and As I look in your eyes My fear begins to fade Recalling all of the times I have died and will die. It's all right. I don't mind.
I am too connected to you to Slip away, to fade away. Days away I still feel you Touching me, changing me,
And considerately killing me.

Grateful Dead are one of the greatest bands of all time... it's easy to miss their magic at first. I did for several years, until one day I was lying back, stoned, with one of their CDs playing just for kicks, and it downright hypnotized me. Since then I've loved them. It's magical music, and if you can't see that it's probably because you haven't given them a chance (possibly due to their almost lazy-seeming presentation?).

I haven't heard them, actually. I'm looking into them now.
Like you said in the first place, seems like comparing apples and oranges. I just feel sorry for people who don't understand the Dead.

im sure they feel that way about bus and tool. its just not my level. its idiotic to try and say one is better, smarter, or more artistic, than the other. as far as im concerened tool and the dead are treading extrely close on the same artistic vein. but art, like all things is relative

What cd was it? I see so many people enchanted by the Dead, but have yet to hear anything that would pull me in that deep. Touch of Grey is one of the only songs I would hear and know it's them.

I'm not 100% exactly which one it was, but I believe it was Live/Dead. That album is a fantastic example of what makes the band so great. Don't skip the really long jams, just sit back and let it wash over you.

Yeah, I watched the Schism video, and stuff was all super elaborate but I couldn't tell the difference between what was me tripping and what was the video.

I think tool is great, and surely the grateful dead is too, however what I have heard of them didn't have me all that captivated or interested. I have tried to find songs I really liked, with no luck so far. What are some songs/performances I should look at?

wow this toke off... Philosophical are intense and require a great amount of time to explain, but while listening to aenemia the song and the album the thoughts of religion and stupidity came across, it was more like a rage if anything, but i couldn't do anything about it. I was stuck in my chair zoned into this worm hole of a vision on the T.V. Impossible to be active on this stuff... but mentally so much is going on, in fact i wish i had done one of my English essays right then and there, it was about beliefs and belief systems . i could have written the man a book if he wanted one. i am a pretty good writer sober so i will definitely give writing a try messed up. I am sure i am not the only one who wants the thoughts that you had when you were twisted to reappear in your heads again, they are amazingly profound .

I have to write a paper on existence and essence, fulfillment in finite and infinite realities. The first half has to examine an argument regarding such things. In the second half, I must constructively criticize and acknowledge my beliefs on the subject.
Basically the next time I trip I'm going to write the second half on the comedown.

i don't find tool very special they sound like any other rock/metalband to me schism is quite good, but that's about it to my ears, most rock/metal really sounds the same in the latter years

The only real thing that sets Tool apart from most other bands is they style they play in. the use all kinds of weird as shit rhythms, complicated time signatures, and in several songs, their drummer is playing in two time signatures at once.
They do ridiculously difficult to play technical stuff like it's nothing, and I think that's why so many people like them. Personally, I think complexity can be overrated, as some of the best music I've ever heard had some of the simplest pieces to it. However, I can still appreciate what Tool did, and what Maynard Keenan is still doing with his new band.

Its not the music that makes them amazing its the meanings behind the songs that makes them special they can be very deep.. do some research and you will see that alot of their songs dont seem to be what the sound like

and tool by any means should not be considered the best rock band, thats just stupid and i am sure Maynard would say so too. they are different flavor and deserve to be respected, and should be considered music. alot of people really do mess up the idea of music, you should never compare music at all its all different, its like trying to compare colors its just stupid don't do it. its all based on person preference.
