K, so I'm going to case pesa with dixie but i don't know which jars are which. Some of the jars look ropier than others, could this indicate a difference in strain? Idk, but what i would like to see are some pics of Dixie Land so that I can hopefully pick them out from one another after they grow.

no. not by your definition of strain. so no.

Dixie Land is NOT a unique cubensis such as say Penis Envy or PF Albino. Nobody here with confidence can tell Dixie Land apart from several, maybe even scores of other strains. So this will not happen for you either.
sorry.

I'm casing them together and mixing the colonized jars of the two different strains. The reason is because my jars are unmarked and idk which are which, so i have no choice but to mix them.

i might have a chance at telling the mature shrooms apart. I mean, pesa is nippled and have other characteristics like usually thin stems with larger orange caps. I just don't know what any characteristics of dixie are. They only reason i have it is because it was ralphs free strain of month.

no, you won't. i've grown pesa many many times and they don't always have "nipple caps." a cube is a cube unless it is sporting a fancy genetic thing such as penis envy or albino, as mitch said.

I'm going to be using a couple small trash buckets to grow in. I will cover this with saran wrap.
Do i need to drill many small holes in the buckets? Will this help or hinder?

Why are you going to mix them anyway? why not fruit them out in two seperate containers? it'll make things abit easier to mabye tell a difference.

The only reason I am mixing is because i did not label my jars. So now I have to mix strains when I do a casing on them. EDIT: oh, and they are 1/2 pint PF jars, not big enough to case one jar by itself.
My last question was, should I drill holes for more FAE in the small trash tubs I will be using to case them in.
