those pics came out good !!!

we need to make sure we take more habitat pics next time we check our patches. i have a feeling that the cap hill patch is nothing compared to what we are gonna find this season!

happy hunting everyone!

I'm gonna rip my hair out if the next pile of wood chips doesn't have cyans in it...

I don't if your were just using a figure of speech, Jaymes, but piles of woodchips, especially fresh piles, will not likely have cyans growing in them. Maybe at the base of the pile, but whatever.

I guess you were probably just talking abouut mulch beds anyway.

Yeah, I didn't mean an actual pile, a bed is the word I couldn't find.

Just for clarification, they grow in wood chips, not bark? 'cause I've been going around neighborhoods looking specifically in bark and wood chips(whenever some come along).

they rarely grow in bark. it happens, but not much. wood chips on the other hand, they thrive in.

Yeah.
As a rule of thumb... don't bother looking in bark.. ESPECIALLY dark or 'red' bark...
It's not ALWAYS so, but often enough that you're spending bad time on it.
Besdies, a lot of dark bark/mulch has cedar in it. And cedar is toxic to 85=90% of all mushrooms, including psilocybes.
