A day out in capital hill seattle. found these at a park
 i had no idea what was to come. the next day i went back and me and blimeyGrimey went back and found alllooot more than the previous day. unfortunatley i didnt have my camera with me but this is what we came back with

went back and someone has completley destroyed the patch..i mean really fucked it up. im worried about the integrity of that spot....it was sooo good.

those pics came out good !!!
we need to make sure we take more habitat pics next time we check our patches. i have a feeling that the cap hill patch is nothing compared to what we are gonna find this season!

I don't if your were just using a figure of speech, Jaymes, but <u>piles</u> of woodchips, especially fresh piles, will not likely have cyans growing in them. Maybe at the base of the pile, but whatever.
I guess you were probably just talking abouut mulch beds anyway.

Yeah, I didn't mean an actual pile, a bed is the word I couldn't find.
Just for clarification, they grow in wood chips, not bark? 'cause I've been going around neighborhoods looking specifically in bark and wood chips(whenever some come along).
