Need help with RH!

I have the FC set up and all but my RH won't go about 80. I have enough water so that the perlte is just almost soupy but it isn't. I drilled a few holes and have a snap close lid on it. Can I birth and put the cakes in with only 80RH?
what can I do to raise the RH? I need to birth the cakes, I am worried about keeping them in the jar too long and want to put in the FC ASAP!
thanks guys

there should be absolutely no standing water in the perlite. perlite in water is pointless, it doesn't work that. Get the perlite wet, strain and drain and then place that into your fruiting chamber, it will provide sufficient humidity for up to a month.
In fact, the type of terrarium i use for that set up has as many holes on the bottom of the container as it does on the sides. (...3"x3" spaced on all six sides...)

Bingo. As said above, drain the perlite, and then fluff it up with your fingers in the bottom so it's nice and loose and airy. Your humidity will go to 99%. RR
