Bad trips: LSD vs. Shrooms vs. Salvia

Between these three drugs, which do you think has the potential to create the most nightmarish and mentally-damaging trips? Just curious because a couple days ago I had a very bad experience with potent salvia and if shrooms or lsd are worse (in terms of potential for bad trips) I think it will be a while before I muster up the balls to try them. Peace.

I've never done Salvia, but I hear it is one of the more frightening and uncomfortable psychedelics. Alot of people find it unpleasant.
Between mushrooms and LSD I would definately without a doubt say mushrooms, but it is different for some people.

A fairly large proportion of the people who use salvia dislike it. In fairness, a lot of this is due to ignorance about the drug and the use of unnecessarily strong salvia (60x and so on). Salvia has a reverse tolerance effect- smoking plain leaf on a daily basis will, after a fairly short period, yield incredible and mind blowing effects.
Of the three, Salvia is far more likely to cause a bad trip than the other two, since the experience is so strange and intense- you are totally launched into it.
Mushrooms, due to their confusing nature are, in my opinion, the second most likely of the three to cause a bad trip, but at low doses you have very little to fear.
It is quite rare to experience a bad trip on LSD unless you take a fairly large dose or are in an inappropriate place or state of mind. LSD is incredibly euphoric and clean feeling, clear headed, and has a fairly slow come up and come down, giving you time to adjust. It all depends on the individual, however.
Start with low doses, respect your mind and these drugs and you'll have nothing to fear.

they all have the makings of that, but Salvia comes on so fast, making a lot people bewildered by what the fuck is going on. the times i've done it, which is only a handful of times, made me confused, uncomfortable, and dysphoric. i'd like to experiment more with it, though.

I've had few "good" trips on salvia. It seems like the most unpleasant to me.
I usually have great trips with shrooms, but I am no stranger to very uncomfortable body sensations on it along with the occasional shattering self-doubt and existential terror.
Acid has never gone wrong for me, even when stuck in a city crammed with crazy people and dealing with mass transit that was overloaded.

I agree with the salvia, shrooms, lsd, order for sure but due to the duration, salvia can be more forgiving imo. Of course you would have to take a very large quantity of shrooms to approach the utter madness that a simple quick toke of salvia can suddenly thrust you into.
I would in no way be apprehensive about normal shroom and lsd doses after your experience with salvia. You should have a great time.
That is unless they react with the stew of meds that you are on. Someone who knows more about mixing them with your meds will have to comment on that aspect.

shrooms have never tripped me bad for more than like 10 minutes. but the highest dose ive taken is an eighth at once. salvia was startling at first, but the effect it brings are just amazing, like looking down at your body from the sky.... (well i experience that on most psychedelics, but literally saw and felt it on salvia)
never tried acid, because on my last mushroom trip something told me not to take lsd. (maybe the mushroom spirits?)
i smoked salvia before mushrooms, but either one is neutral for me, because i respect these plants, and only use them to gain wisdom, and spiritual guidance. That's the mindset u need if u never want to bad trip.

I've had the same bad trip on all three drugs. The same thing apprehension began, the same trip ensued, and the fear each time eventually subsided and left me with the warmest and most memorable experiences of my life.
On my first LSD trip, after smoking some bud, i began to think about my first Salvia trip (also first trip of my life). All of the sudden, I was hurled back into that Salvia trip. And I was in so much shock and amazement that I was beginning to think negatively, thus ensuring a mis-trip. But as always, I eventually (no telling how long really) broke free from the bad trip and happiness ensued.
I've had the same apprehension follow me into mushroom trips. But once again, simply clearing the mind and knowing that I must accept all instantly corrects any shred of doubt or fear.
My last trip, on mushrooms, was my biggest trip yet, though it hit me in such a different way. I met the good trip/bad trip junction early on, and didn't look back once I crossed into my good trip. The Fear is the same for every psychedelic, IMO, but it's simply a matter of reassurance to break free from any potential bad trip.
-------------------- Life is just a flashback... I may have gone a bit too far, I fear Will I get out of it this time? What was I thinking, taking this leap I thought I knew where we would go If only I knew, I had no idea.

salvia is just weird and the body high isnt nice.
shrooms can get really out there mentally to the where you are lost and confused and think you are never coming back. but you will.
and acid is just fun fun times all around

From my experience Salvia is by far the easiest to go on a bad trip for a couple or reasons. The differing grades of potency greatly affect the trip strength along with how fast the up swing is (under 2 minutes, possibly even 30 seconds from exhaling). The complete change of reality and loss of ego can be very, very unnerving to.
I had some 20x that I tried once and thought my entire life, everything I knew in my life was fake like what happened to Truman in the Truman Show. I wasn't in a bad mood or anything, its just where I went with sally, hell I could of have gone to a rain forest in the trip. The predictability is something that can be a turnoff, you can go to heaven or hell.
Mushrooms take second place as I see them more as a spiritual and mind altering experience letting you think outside the box. Whether the outside of the box is happy and sunny or dark and gloomy is up to you, although that can be said for anything causes hallucinations/visuals.
LSD seems more a visual experience/fucked up feeling. You can get lost, yet mushrooms just seem to get more out of hand. Although quality is the major defining factor. Some acid is good, some eh, and some bunk.
To make it simple saliva will hit you like a brick with the right strength, shrooms can expand your mind, and acid is just a good time.

i think it totally depends on the person as everybody reacts differently to different drugs. i have aten up to 14g dried potent shrooms and never have had a bad trip. i have aten 1 hit of alex grey blotter and have had the most intense trip of my life. wouldn't call it a bad trip as it was important and liberating in so many ways. but a n00b would probably shudder in fear over that kind of trip and try to hold onto his ego while it gets dissolved into eternity and nothingness.
let go and there will be no bad trips.. "bad" is just a perception from something that cannot transcend it's own fear.

If we are talking about potential for the worst trip LSD would be number 1. With LSD you can go farther into and out of your mind than with almost any psychadelic. LSD has a long duration sometimes upwards of 12 hours. If you get some potent, clean liquid it will take you farther than you ever thought possible......good liquid LSD is fuckin insane

Potential for worst trip is most DEFINATELY not LSD
and as far as "going down the rabbit hole" the furthest, its EASILY salvia
that stuff is majorly messed up
LSD is pretty deep, and can be intense, but if anxiety starts to culminate, your emotions will eventually fluctuate out of it. Mushrooms has the tendency to want you to hang on and dable in these dark/sad/scary thoughts much more often.

like i said, "well my dot anyways", implying "to each their own".
i have tripped hundreds of times on shrooms and never have i had a bad trip, so i don't know what you are talking about. everyone reacts differently.
i cannot see mushrooms killing "me" as much as acid can. but thats just me.
