Injecting over dunking wasn't the question.

Yes, you can inject and then withdraw the solution. It's similar to grain to grain transfer. I've said for years that all you have to do is boil syringes to sterilize.

Ok so after I birth my cake and have a sterile syringe with water in it, I just shoot it into the middle of the cake and then suck it back up?

I am birthing later today if i can get my rh to 99 in my FC

Ok then which method do you think would be more beneficial dunking or injecting cakes?

The question was about making mycelium syringes, not hydrating substrate. Soaking is by far the superior method for hydrating cakes.

That is one method, another method involves injecting sterile water into your jar down the sides before birthing and sucking it back up.

they both work, im gonna be giving this a shot as i have some very rhyzomorphic myc happening in 1 of my jars, i dont have access to agar yet so this seems the best shot for me just now.
