That's not true. War is fought over more than religion. Religion just makes up for a very large portion of war.

The true cause of war (personal and mass) is craving. Appeasing a craving only makes us crave more (and more and more)... until a war arises for resources to continue satisfying our cravings.

Consider this: you see a starving dog traveling along and he comes to a butcher shop. If the butcher were to throw the dog a long chain bones, which had no meat or blood on them, do you think this would be beneficial for the dog? No. There is nothing of substance for the dog to absorb. It would merely waste all of its energy eating the chain of bones.

In this way, the starving dog can be seen as our cravings, and eating the bones as the way we appease the craving.

This thread is about all irrational belief systems, not merely religion. As wars generally do serious harm to all involved, it certainly is an irrational act.

$1 trillion and tens of thousands of lives to kill an aging dictator is the height of insanity.

Look at the harm the imperial actions of WWII Germany and Japan caused their own people. That is just moronic.

A lawn full of weeds, fighting for space, grows greener. ESPECIALLY around the weeds.

So Orgone, when the demand for oil is very great, and the supply is dwindling, what do you suggest governments do? Keep in mind our dependence of oil... blacktop, plastics, all forms of transportation (no more food in the super markets, no coal to burn, etc...), and I'm sure there are thousands of other things I'm leaving out.

All answers become irrational at this point. Irrationality can actually be seen as subjective and prone to argument.

Pretty simple.
When it starts organizing against you orgone.
You should be left with no choice but to believe.
Things I saw: 'Winning its a trip' and the 'cornerstone' just coincidences I suspect.
Has a black cat crossed you path??

Yes, I will s-p-e-l-l it out for you.

ALL irrational belief systems (i.e. ANY system not factually based) are by definition, irrational; whether they are yours, mine or anothers'.

Mormon to Scientologist: My irrational belief system is better than yours!

Scientologist to Mormon: Nuh uh. My irrational belief system is better than yours!

Shmoopy: You are both fucking wacky!

All belief systems are irrational because anything is possible.

As soon as you believe,
you have restricted yourself.

Church goer: My religion is based on fact
Scientist: Science is based on fact
Orgone: My believe system is based on fact
